:j YAY to the no interest PDD, to them being so stupid on the phone!
great news Losing and Candypop, lots of progress!
Battering was alright today - cooked a spam fritter! That only reminded me that I forgot to get chorizo from Lidl/Aldi whichever (is there a difference?)
Seems like the exploding bum really is spreading throughout the thread - DB and DH are both disgusting atm so I'm hiding in the den with the animals :rotfl:Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hi all
Was just catching up and thinking 'How strange - no creditor phone calls all day'
Bet you can't guess what happened - the blinking phone rang!! They must be getting vibes from me now, it does seem to have gone very quiet now though, does anyone know when creditors receive payments from CCCS? I pay 1st of the month and think I remember reading somewhere that it gets sent to creditors around the 25th, anyone know if thats right?0 -
Yes that's right. Direct debit comes out on the 1st and creditors are paid around the 25th. I've been on my DMP with CCCS since Dec 1 and so far going well. Got my review next weekDeeBee0

Hi everyone, I've come out of lurking again. I now have all my statements/paperwork ready to return to cccs and am about to send token payments. Im just waiting for delivery of my truecall!!! None of my payments are needing posted until next week so should I go ahead with sending the paperwork to cccs? How soon am I likely to have creditors calling me? Does this happen when cccs contact them or when they receive the dmp notification from me, or both? Is anyone else at the same stage as me, hoping to start on April 1st? How quickly do the tons of letters come?
Someone mentioned medised, I think the age recommendation has changed on this and a load of other cold/flu remedies for under sixes in the last year or so.Paddle no. 12

I sent off my application forms for a new bank account (a basic cash card) with Nationwide on 18th Feb. They returned a utility bill that i sent with the application and I am still waiting for confirmation of my application. I sent a bank statement as well but I would have imagined they would not return that.
My question is - does it take over 2 weeks to get a bank account approved?
I'm getting concerned as I want to get my DMP started next month. Payplan are going to phone me tomorrow to ask how things are progressing. They have contacted all my creditors (except HSBC where I have my current account/overdraft and loan) and I will be sending out token payments this week.Paddle number 22
DMP Start April 6th 20100 -
I went into my local Co-op branch late on a Saturday, by the end of the week a Debit card had arrived and then the PIN number. The confirmation letter arrived two weeks after, even though it had 15th February postmark. Others that signed up online seemed to get a response fairly quickly with Co-op.
I sent my paperwork back on Monday to PayPlan and the new bank to pay them. Guess I need to clear money from my current account quickly, or will PayPlan let me know before they contact the Bank about my loan? All DDs that will continue, Rent, Gas etc have been changed to new bank. What do I do about the two loans that will come under PayPlans DMP. I obviously don't want to switch them to the new bank and then cancel them right away with the new bank, or do I?

Yes clear any money out of your old Bank account straight away i have fallen foul to there offsetting trick twice now!
Payplan are unlikely to let you know before they contact they bank. Cancel your loan DD's you are likely to get a letter asking to re-instate them or maybe even a phone call. But do not panic if they ring give them your Payplan no and tell them they will be in touch.
I don't know how payplan work but with the CCCS we send out DMP notification letters. Alot of people send token payments with this letter as a good will gesture especially if you arfe not paying them this month.
Hope this helps anything else just ask. Your on the road to being debt free now!!:j:j
My debt free date is 2022 eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek:eek:but thats until I get a job!0 -

Hey Jeddy welcome to our little group.
I recieved my Nationwide things fairly quickly. it may take 2 weeks. Have you signed up for online banking if so. i could track to see if the account was open. You could also nip into a branch and ask them to look?
Hope it goes ok with Payplan.0 -
Hi Newbies
Good advice all round there from Gabriella, my co-op account opened quite quickly and as I use it online mostly, I wasn't really bothered about all the bits but they did arrive quite quickly.
LJM I wouldn't get in a panic, we've got 22 creditors and I've had 4 phone calls, I chose to phone a few more to sort things out but everyone's experience is different. I think if you have been missing payments for sometime before your LBM, you are on their calling lists, so are much more likely to be deluged with calls, might be wrong though. and anyway, they are only people, give em your number and tell them they have your details and to go and sort it out.
Gibbs Don't move the DDs that are going into your DMP, you are going to default them, leave em there to wither on the DMP. Glad the telly is settling in well.
Have a good day all, off to deal with more pernickety small business men.................More than Two Years in
