Nat - have you tried one of those plug in eucalyptus thingys in his room? I think they have decongestant in and a bit of water which makes baby's breathing easier?Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Nataz - How old is DS, I used to use a medicine called Medised when mine where younger - I think it's paracetamol and decongestant, think it's for 3 month plus, makes them drowsy as well, which helps;)0

hi there,
Kind of new to this but i have been lurking around this thread for a few weeks, started my dmp on 19/02 and am finding it kind of strange as the telephone has went from 20 calls a day to zreo .do you think this is a good sign or am i in the midst of the calm before the storm.reluctant to enquire about progress as i am in a kind of "utopia" with peace and quiet.

Hi Gerry!
Enjoy it! Its probably a good sign that they've accepted and are just waiting for some money! Are you with CCCS?Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
hi true,
unfortunately not with cccs as i was kind of naive when i started (just wanted to get the ball rolling) i will go with think money for a while and let everything settle then consider doing this myself.
kind of great to sleep at night (haha)0 -
I haven't heard of Think Money - are they a fee charging lot? If so, give CCCS a call asap and get them to take over. I started out with CAB but now I'm trying to self manage and you're totally right about the sleepPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

Afternoon All
Well Ive sorted all my wee men out at work and have come in and opened the mail and I think result, confusing result but result. Remember I had the really frustrating call with HBOS and the swore blind that it was outwith their remit and rules to cancel interest? Remember the really patronising guy who needed a good wallop? Well just got my statement, shows CCCS payment and NO INTEREST!!! Can't they tell you truth at all and do they just tell you things to wind you up??? Don't care will accept and pretend the nasty conversation never happened.More than Two Years in
Doing it the Niddy way:j:j:j0 -
Hi all...well - it's finally real - I got my pack in the post today from CCCS confirming that the DMP starts in April and with the breakdown of payments to all the creditors! Woo Hoo! Justa bit worried though as it says on the letter that they have sent proposal to all the creditors, if Natwest have already received this then I am in trouble as there are still 2 more direct debits to come out of that account which couldnt be changed over in time -
ON another note, I dont get paper statements from any of the creditors as I have always managed the accounts online - how will I know if the CCCS payments have been received, do they freeze your online accounts and stop us from viewing them or will I be able to check the balances as I always did etc. This also applies to the Natwest current account as i stopped paper statements with them long ago. Also I wont receive any calls as none of them have my telephone number so thats good. Just waiting now for lots of nasty letters to drop thru the letterbox saying yes we agree or no we dont.
I sent the first token payment yesterday to Egg, felt a bit wierd but hey ho. From the support and advice of you guys in here postivity increases each time I read. I have £38000 debt ,paying £217 to CCCS, they reckon I will be DF in 2025
Still a bit worried that my new account (Lloyds TSB) may be associated wiuth Halifax (with whom I owe £3200) and I noticed on the cccs breakdown of payments that the Natwest Credit Card is run by RBS - are they not also associalted with TSB? If so can they take money from my new accoutn even though I dont have a debt with TSB? And will TSB be concerned when they start seeing a direct debit to CCCS going out every month?
Thanks again for any advice :-) Have a nice day x
ps: sorry for all the typos on here but I jump on the forum at work when my boss goes upstairs and have to be quick!0 -
Hi
Quite a eventfull day of progress today. Have photocopied statements etc to send to CCCS (whilst no one was looking) - will send this in post tomorrow. Managed to change 2 DD's as well. Going to type covering letter to creditors tonight ready to print at work tomorrow and send with token payments. Havent cancelled DD to loan company yet ... keep thinking when I do they will be straight on phone its not due out again till 1st of next month so I suppose I have plenty of time. Will cancel it once I have sent token payment. Do you think my DMP will start on 1st April. Losing - how long was it from when you sent your first agreement to CCCS to hearing when it would start.0
