Not sure re the Notification of DMP, didn't realise they were signed and sent to creditors... anyone else know about this?

With the paperwork I got from the CCCS, the 'notification of DMP' letter/form said something along the lines of 'I authorise the CCCS to deal with you on my behalf and you can share details etc. etc.' (well something like that!).

I did sign this as I though as it was an 'authorisation' it needed to be signed...and it did say 'sign here'...I think.

The signature things is a bit of a grey area! :(

    Hi all

I feel much better now ive had some guidance and clarified the remaining points that kept causing me to doubt my decision. So thank you.

Candypop - i know what you mean. We know what we have to do AND that we have no other choice, yet still it scares the hell out of us. If only id been so apprehensive about using my credit cards!!!!!!!!!!!

Its strange because the dmp will put me a much better situation than im in now but i still feel so nervous. Im usually a really positive person but in this situation i cant help thinking about the negatives and what might go wrong.

Im filling in the forms to my creditors ready to post off tomorrow. Fingers crossed for us both that it goes ok.

Hi - I hope that it goes okay to. Just photocopied my notification of DMP to send to creditors so will fill those in tonight and get postal orders from post office tomorrow maybe. Not sure whether to sign them or not with what I have read on the forum may just print my name. Are you doing a covering letter as well? I think I have got together all info for CCCS so will copy them tomorrow and send (keep having to have a sneaky go on photocopier at work!) dont want anyone to see what I'm doing. :)

Loan payment to Northern Rock came out today too late to stop so will cancel the DD once I have sent them a token payment. It's all pretty scary but strangely exciting that I am now taking control. Bet the excitment doesnt last once the creditors start ringing.

  • Have decided just to a 'squiggle' as my signature, not my real signature but just a sort of acknowledgement?

Morning all, just a quicky to say hello. DS had an awful night so my brains too mushy to reply, but a big hello to the new faces :)

Ted not long now, have you got your job sorted now?

I never gave it a second thought about signing my notification letters, too trusting, oh well never mind!

Anyone else having issues with BofS asking for a breakdown of your earnings and outgoings, they are being such a pain in the bum. Best thing was a call this morning, half way through the lady goes says 'oh dear I see you are on a 30 break' um yeah so why are you ringing. Stupid or what!
