ooo One of the other ladies that works with me has handed her notice in... now I might be able to do some jiggery pokery and change some hours and take a few more on :)

My dilema is this..the course I want to do I think last year (or this current year) runs on a Thursday and Friday all day, I currently work Mon, Tues and Thurs mornings. I thought I might ask to do all day on Mon & Tues and drop Thurs. Would give me an extra 3.5 hours a week. However come Sep if they change the course days Im up shiite creak. Not sure whether its worth it?

Prioritise Sally.....which is most beneficial for YOU at the moment?

Sal, I guess even if you stay as you are they could change the days to Mon/Tue, and you would still be up the creek?

Might be worth the risk if it brings a bit of extra money in.

If you ring the college, they might be able to tell you when they work the timetables out, and if they have any reason to think the days might change next time?

If I do whats best for me now that would be take on the extra hours plus my normal hours...then once ive found out what college are doing (i'll have to go for an interview for the course) I can then jiggle hours around and maybe drop some. I guess Im just a little resentful that Im the one taking on extra hours and missing picking B up from school
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
    Finally Debt Free...

They do lovely food, it's a good price (i.e. cheap) and you get free internet. What more could a student ask for

Hey guys, hope everyone is ok!

Thought I would just pop up and let you know I got back to the UK ok. However as Egypt has had really bad storms which have caused 7 deaths (including 1 British Tourist), many injured and lots of damage, I wish I was still there to help :( But anyhow not much I can do now so will start the task of finding a job!

I would tend to grab the extra hours if I could Sally, but have the Course Interview as well ( is it a one-off or an Annually available Course?), you may find that the Course actually isn't for you or that there are alternatives that would fit your personal sits better:confused:. Its important also to show OH that YOU are really trying to improve your Family situation ( not suggesting that he isnt though Sal x).
