I wont be hitching or unhitching trailers and my regular Customers know that I'll be making the tea whilst they unload the lorry.

I'm afraid I'm a very girlie runner. I like to wear things that look nice. I usually have a bit of waterproof mascara and lipgloss on too.
It makes me feel better, and if I feel better, I think I run better. I certainly enjoy it more, and that's why I run, after all.
Same at work - I don't NEED to wear nice clothes as long as I'm reasonably smart. Most of my job can be done by phone or email, and I'm using my brain rather than my body...but if I feel confident about how I look, I work better.
I don't think it's a negative thing to care about appearance, as long as, as you said, it's not at the expense of the clothes performing as they should. I admire people who can not care, but I think that takes either a huge amoung of self confidence, or lack of self consciousness, and I don't think that covers the vast majority of women."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

:eek::eek: OMG how do you run in makeup - dont you get sweaty??
I care about my appearance normally, but when I am running I care only about how I feel - does it fit, does it chaff, does it wick etc...when I feel good then I run better but it doesnt make any difference how I look, in fact I find it offputting when I wear my tight leggings as van drivers etc make a fuss and it knocks me out of the zone when they beep0 -
I vote for the Wii Pepe, I'm going to get on mine once my brother's girlfriend leaves. Hate doing it with other people here
Hope there's stuff I can do one handed
