Too many years of putting other people's needs before your own, so you're stricken with guilt about "selfishness" when the time comes for you.

    Youre right Zed................of course:kisses3:

Can I book an appointment with you on your couch sometime soon?:D

Thanks Zed, I have always seen myself as quite a bold person but never with my own needs IYSWIM:o

Give me someone to look after and develop and I can be the strongest person ever........funny isnt it:confused:

Lou, Zed is totally right...I have Susan Jeffers 'feel the fear and do it anyway' on audio on my ipod - which is spud's mantra :rotfl:

I have found it a real help just lately in getting past my 'internal chatterbox' of negative thinking.

Strangely enough its this that has helped me get back into running. After my godawful run in June I was frightened of running....but inbetween upbeat songs I have this little voice talking to me telling me I can do it.....and I can!

I also listen to it before I go to work....gets me fired up for the day.

Glad you enjoyed run club Linda :)

It was wonderful, great lung fulls of lovely cold, fresh air was just what I needed to blow the cobwebs away.
It was nice that there was a really good turnout last night too.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

The petrol will be fine Ames, we can sort it out on the day!

    Thanks everyone..
She writes her name beautifully so I know she can do it, obviously she has written that over and over!
I think the other thing that is tricky is that they do cursive writing so everything she does is joined up *they don't ask for much do they...flipping heck*

Will have a chat with teacher tomorrow but am just going to get her reading and practice the letters in some sand or paint in a tray.
