and this morning whilst i was out i noticed that if you buy your diesel at asda using an asda visa card you get 2p a litre off the price so i am mightily tempted to apply for this visa with the understanding it only get's used for diesel and as soon as i return home the money get's paid to the card online however it will save me a good bit of money over the course of the year ...i am still looking at things the way martin does i.e give yourself the pay rise ..im thinking well diesel is nearly £1 a litre now so if i'm saving 2p a litre its the equivelent of a 2% payrise (only on diesel though) if you get my drift or am i waffling again

right my latest decision that has to be made ...(i really need to get off night shift its giving me too much time to think) ...now as some of you are aware son has left the family home ...he's been away 3 weeks now and in that time we have given him money to help support himself ...now and this is bad for me to say this (but i have my reasons) we havnt as yet informed the family allowance people or the childrens tax credit people thinking he wouldve been home by now and it would just confuse the whole situation, but time is passing on and although the money gets paid into a seperate account that i have not touched since he has left home in actual fact effectively i have been giving him the money the government give us plus a wee bit more ...now my query is when should i inform them i know i have to i dont mind that its just what if he comes home say in the next few weeks and i have informed them that he no longer lives here and have to go through the hassel of trying to claim for him again ...but i dont want to do anything illegal either i am a bit of a stickler for that ...any advice anyone?

i did dragon but if he decides he wants to be all grown up that has to be his choice and i aint gonna risk myself and hubby for him i didnt think i would be committing fraud though that was a shock to me have been looking online and have sent away a couple of emails informing them of the situation ...as i said i have the money in the bank account havent touched it..i do think though when i inform son today (as i will do come 3pm when hes out of school) that this might just force him to come home ..but in a way i want him to come home because he want to not because he has to ...if you know what i mean

    Hey El!

What if at the back of his mind he WANTS to come home but he doesn't want to lose face - this could give him just the excuse he needs to come back, without feeling like he looks a fool.

If he does decide to come home, try not to worry about WHY, just concentrate on welcoming him back. You might not be able to make him WANT to come back, but you can definitely react in a way that makes him glad he did.

Good luck with talking to him, I know this has been really hard on you on top of everything else you have had going on.
