I did an evening class in it once. Why?

    Hi Elantan
My daughter bought herself a DIY calligraphy kit with a booklet, so if there is any particular info you need, I could look it up for you. If I can find the booklet that is - her room is a tip.

thanks ladies was thinking when i'm night shift i need to find something to keep me sane i currently do cross stitch which i love but sometimes need a break from ...now was thinking because i am attempting to grow own veg and make my own jam (gonna attempt this possibly next week i have apple trees and plum trees in garden which i havnt managed to kill yet) it would make it look so much nicer if the labels were smartly written ...now i aint gonna manage it for this year (only doing jam this year) but was thinking if i practised i could try it out for next year ...keep me busy on the night shift and have an added bonus of doing something good for the family...so what i am asking is basically how hard is it to do any advice on what to buy /get/freecycle ..books etc ...thanks for reading that i didnt realise it would be a book till i started it lol

My daughter's kit was only 3 or 4 pounds from a local stationer. It contained a few different pens and nibs as well as a book. You could probably buy the pens separately and get a book out of the library. Anyway I'll ask her if it was useful and if she has any tips on what you'd need.

the kits that you can get for under a fiver in cheap bookshops like booksale will probably be the best way to get started. You should certainly be up to lable standard pretty quickly.

I will go against what the friends and family say, and say go for the course! Will give you something positive to focus on.

    What is it, anyway?
