2 binbags of rubbish out
Christmas tree finally moved from the sofa and put in its box.. just need OH to bring it upstairs so it can be put in the cupboard now..
Table cleared wiped and filled with folded washing

Decision to be made..

OH and I have been invited to a fancy dress party in 2 weeks.. musicals theme.. OH is after wearing his suit and going 'Chicago style'.. so not wanting to be laughed at (I'd happily go as Sandy before the diet) I was thinking.. as Chicago is '20's time setting I think.. would it be appropriate to go in flapper-esque dress??? I'm telling him I'm going as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz or Giselle in a HUUUUUUUGE wedding dress PMSL!!

Triker.. it amuses me but when you are saying stuff like.. emptied this cupboard or that bench or behind this sofa I can actually see in my head what you are doing lol... I've been decluttering years too and still not even reached 'almost organised chaos'

Have just checked out the price to change my name on my passport - bloomin heck - not bothering - I haven't nearly £80 and I'm not going on holiday so thats that, now to check about my driving licence.................... well I've just changed my address online [free] so when the new licence comes through then I'll change my name.

Extras

1. Clean paintwork
2. Order and organise the packets and jars and tins.
3. Sort the utensils.. half melted spatulas are not necessary!
4. Wipe paintwork and door knobs
5. Sort coats and bags and shoes
6. Clean out pets
7. Sort through one box of stuff
8. Clean out the toiletries cupboard and put back the stuff you use.. and fling the stuff you don't! Do any necessary decanting so you have fewer almost empties!
9. Make a note of stuff you do need to stock up.. and stuff you already have stocked up for 10 years!

ALL MAIN LISTS DONE NOW, WOOHOO!!!!!!!

I think I have got everything I need for going away now, just need to pack it, however being on here seems more fun for the time being.

You lot are so sweet. I really didn't expect this reaction. Lady Liberty text to say you are all missing me so I came back to see what was happening and I'm overwhelmed by the response. Thanks everyone.

I will stay, and I will post everyday even if I haven't managed to do any flying. But I will try to do something every day as I know it makes me feel better to have achieved something.

We went out this morning to a Bible assembly and then I've slept all afternoon. It was really nice to be there, but I couldn't manage the afternoon session so we are going to try to get that next weekend, as there will be another one held for a different lot of people, but the same info. Day 2 is tomorrow so hopefully I will manage that. I was a bit wobbly this morning but DH and a friend helped me when I was watering my face and then I calmed down and started to enjoy it.

Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining Area - DONE - STAR PLEASE!

Tuesday ~ Hall, Stairs and Landing!
Level One
Declutter the floors and vacuum them.
[STRIKE]Tidy everything you can see when the front door is open! Coats and shoe rack for me![/STRIKE]
Level Two
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb.. dnon't forget lightbulbs and shades![/STRIKE]
Scrub front door.. inside and out!
[STRIKE]Wash any curtains/draught excluders and doormats![/STRIKE]
Level Three
[STRIKE]Empty and declutter the cupboard under the stairs.. you do not need the junk that has been in there for a million years!
Degunk, dejunk and clean the porch.. how many pizza leaflets do you need to wipe your feet on?[/STRIKE]

Extras

1. Wash windows and nets/blinds
2. Wipe paintwork and door knobs

Wednesday ~ Living room and other reception rooms!
Level One
Declutter and vacuum floors

Dust all electrical appliances and polish screens
15 minutes filing and 15 minutes deleting rubbish off the computer.. useless emails, old files, updating spreadsheets etc
Level Three
Sort through a bookshelf.. a different one to last time!
Make any important phonecalls you have been putting off
vacuum under furniture you can move safely
Extras

1. Check smoke alarms
2. Empty and wash out any bins

Thursday ~ Master bedroom/second room
Level One
Strip, wash and replace the bedding
[STRIKE]Clear the floordrobe![/STRIKE]
Level Two
Vacuum the floors.. and the cobwebs!
[STRIKE]Tidy up drawers of clothing and the multitude of shoes[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]For those who have been hiding stuff... Tidy under the bed!!! [/STRIKE]
Level Three
Wash curtains and nets and windows
Empty and wash out upstairs bins

Friday ~ Bathroom and WC - DONE - STAR PLEASE!!

Have had a rubbish week flylady-wise (otherwise good). I've been experiencing a bad combination of lazy and easily distracted :rotfl: Decided to just roll my sleeves up and get down to it today and am really pleased to have earned two stars now :j. I'm pretty confident that I can get another two tomorrow as well and then will start doing the lists daily again on Monday.

Hope you're all well and thanks for the support - you've been whispering in my ear all week (guilt conscience hehe) and finally got me off my bum to clean!

piggers flapper is cool and sexy. My ma ran me up a flapper dress out of lining material with upholstery fringing on the hem and sequinned straps many moons ago for a ball. How hard can it be?

Been to Donkey Sanctuary today. Everyone in Devon or nearby should visit, its fab.

Have put a load of washing on and decluttered some shopping in Waitrose (big treat!).

Evening all,

Still at my Mum's after a nice walk with greenbee today - looking forward to the next one, although hopefully we'll find a place where the scones aren't crunchy! lol

Sorry I've not been around for a bit - our central heating is being installed still (hopefully will be finished on Monday) so my house is in complete disarray with furniture everywhere as the plumber has to take up carpets etc to do all the pipework as a few of our radiators are being relocated too, so I've had no internet access. It's also very cold at the moment in my house (12C) as we only have a small fan heater to heat up the bedroom, which we've borrowed from my Mum and Dad. We also have no hot water, so I've been having to go to my Mum and Dad's for showers. I'm looking forward to when we can actually use it all though, as our old heating system was so inefficient that it only ever got up to about 15C with the heating on! Woodburner is being installed and connected to the hot water on February 2nd, which should hopefully save us a bit of money on gas too - Moon has sworn that he will clean it out so I don't have to.

Did a bit of flying this morning by wiping the window frames in the bathroom (metal ones that get mildewy quickly) with my face wipe after I'd used it - greenbee what was it that you recommended to clean them with - forgot to ask you on our walk?

Hugs to rosepink - I'm glad you decided to come back to the thread - you really do make a difference to everyone, and you're always very good at remembering what everyone is doing in your posts, just like toots.

Hugs to LadyL - sorry I've not been in contact recently - was thinking about you last night, but I have a bad cough at the moment that I don't want to risk passing on to you - children are vile things! lol If you need me though, I'm just at the end of the phone.

Well I suppose I'd better make my way home and get on with a bit of school work.

Hugs to toots and thanks for the texts and emails - they've really made me laugh, especially the text message which was very rude! lol I hope you're looking after yourself and not overdoing anything - like smartie, make sure you listen to your body!

Better be off now - may have a chance to pop on tomorrow at some point, but don't know when connection at home will be restored, and can't post from school. If I don't manage to post for a bit, don't worry, as I'm probably just not connected yet - hope to be by next weekend by the latest.

Maybe not sexy in my size but a nice simple idea! and more importantly.. inexpensive.. I already have lining fabric and fringing.. I also have stretch jersey which might be slightly warmer for a February night than lining fabric! I have fishnets and my black comfy shoes.. my need a boa, a headband thing and some beads though.. and an idea what to do with my hair!! I'm not having it cut for one night lol
