Just spoke to my OH - he had a curry last night so doesn't really want another. Any other suggestions for minced beef? Or anything else to be hinest but I don't have much in and I always do pasta for him!
Ah no worries - he fancies mushroom risotto! LOL Ah but we've ruled it out as it takes so long we wouldn't get to eat until 10.30!
Grrr - I hate it when I can't think of anything to have!0 -

I have just been to my third WI and I am a bit dissapointed. first week 3 and a half lb second week 1 and a half lb third week just a half lb. I am following the plan 100% so cant fully understand why its getting lower everyweek. i realise the first week is usually a good loss but will there be a good reason why its gone so low.
I try not to use syns and have been told that might be a reason for not losing I try to keep it at approx 6 syns and 4 of them are usually a glass of brandy at night I can live without chocolate but I like a Brandy at night.
I am not thinking of giving up I have lots to use and health reason are the reason I need to lose weight.
Any ideas please
thanks Annie
Week 3 is notorious for a poor weight loss. I've no idea why, but it seems to be very common, so don't worry about it, it won't be because you've done anything wrong.
Keep following the plans and you're sure to lose. A nice, steady (and healthy) weight loss is between 1 and 2 pounds a week, so you're doing fineI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

When I make risotto it only takes 30-45 mins. I made one last week with nice porcini mushrooms. Not sure if thats still too long.
How about spicy mince wraps using lettuce leaves as the wraps. Maybe make them mexican style with beans, is that burrittos? not sure I always mix up burritos and enchiladas.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Thanks I did think of burrito's but don't fancy them somehow. We won't be back form the airport until gone 9 so it's still a bit late for risotto. Might just have meat & two veg meal though I fancied something more exciting!0

Ah I see, I didnt realise it was so late. What about a nice stir fry? (sorry im like Mrs Doyle with the stir fries)
That way its quick, you can have it as fancy as you like and not too heavy so late at night.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hi guys, can I join you please?
I joined the online SW today - have never needed to diet before but have put onshed loads of weight in the past 18 months, largely due to low mobility. Seems I have an inflammatory arthritis, and "sensible eating" just isn't cutting it anymore! So, I need to make a positive effort to lose weight, and increase my exercise levels under the supervision of the physio.
I've had a good read and it looks straight forward enough - i'm happier now i've found you all, and the recipe list - I make most of our meals from scratch as we have food allergies.
Nice to meet you,
WCS:)0 -
Lol, thanks nic - OH's having stir-fry tonight. I think it's going to have to be lasagne so I can make it in advance & syn some garlic bread0

Hello and welcome to the thread and to SW
If you make your meals from scratch, you're half-way to a healthy diet anyway, so just follow the recipes online for loads of choice and you'll be fine.
You don't really need to be very active to lose weight with food optimising, but it does help.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
