Back from weigh in and lost half a pound. Quite pleased with that as I hadn't been for 3 weeks (hospital appts) and the last week or so I was defo not following the plan!

I am going to be extra good this week!

No I don't think it is - well as much as normal haddock isn't. Then it's just got a gentle smoked flavour over it - one of my favourite fish.

Keep meaning to make kedgeree but forget and just bake it!

no its not salty. As SC said it has a mild smokey flavour, I love it. Its best to buy good stuff form the fishmonger that isnt dyed or flavoured.

    nformation:
    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
6 Syns on Green, 10 Syns on Original Ingredients:
    567g/1lb 4oz skinned haddock fillets
    1 red onion
    227g/8oz long grain rice
    1 bay leaf
    2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
    juice of ½ lemon
a couple of good pinches of cayenne pepper
salt and freshly ground black pepper
    2 hardboiled eggs
    Instructions:
    1. Poach the haddock fillets in simmering water for about 8 minutes. Drain off the water into a measuring jug and top up to 600ml/20fl oz with water. Flake the haddock and keep warm.
    2. Finely chop the onion and place in a large pan, pour in 113ml/4fl oz of the reserved fish liquor and cook for 15 minutes until soft. Add the rice, bay leaf and remaining fish liquor. Bring to the boil, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until the rice is soft.
    3. Stir in the flaked haddock, parsley, lemon juice and cayenne pepper, season to taste and serve with quartered hard-boiled eggs.

EEK! And that's from the SW website! Though divided by 4 isn't so bad I guess.
  • :wave:Hi Marion.
Folks, sorry to pop in like this, but I'm looking for an sw recipe that I have lost and I don't go to classes any more: it involves nutella and scan bran and was possibly named after ferrer r0che
    Ring any bells with anyone?

    Thanks alot.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Well I think you've answerd your own question - a teaspoon of nutella (synned) mixed with crushed scan bran then chilled. I guess you can add essence for a flavour too.
    See below for proper reciepe!

8 scan bran crumbled up (some people use Ryvita original)
I crumbled mine up in a mini blender.
    1 tbp water
    1 tbs syrup
    4 tbs nutella.

mix together and divide into little cake cases - makes about 20 at 1 syn each
