Well I went totally off plan last night at tea time. I done well all day. But we were starving at dinner time and I went to Asda, we had chicken fajitas, I had 3 big Deli wraps, sour cream, cheese, mexican rice , all washed down with a bottle of wine and some pretzels later. :o:o
I must admit it was all delicious.

Ill put it down to flexi syns but I really dont think Ill be able to make up for it the rest of the week.

    today am planning

brekkie - 2 poached eggs on toast
    lunch baked potato with beans
dinner mince and tatties with veg.

snacks fruit and yoghurts and only minimal syns today.
Nic we all have days like this , like you the weekend is the worse for me i could just go a bottle of white wine  or maybe two :D ,.
Yesterday i had green day got up at four after night shift in a bakery , cookie doughtnuts , i didn't touch a thing :T,had a banana and popped to daughters , on way home had house special chow main ( chicken chow main is 8,1/2 , so house is say 10 )and two vodka and cokes 5 syns .
Had rice pudding later and 2 ryvita crunch h/b and a packet of ryvita sweet chili h/b , went to bed really wanted another vodka or the bottle of white wine in fridge .
So i no that my downfuls are weekend and next week i'm saving 4 syn a day towards it as it my frends birthday and i'll need some for going out .
I will be planning meal and having vodka & coke to drink plus a few white wine spritzers , well thats the plan .
PLANNING IS THE EASY PART STAYING TO IT IS THE HARD BIT

Depriving yourself of all the things that make life worth-while is counter-productive. In no time at all you'll be thinking, "stuff this diet I want chocolate/biscuits/wine" (whatever your particular treat is). You give in to the urges and then feel guilty which causes you to hate yourself, the diet and everything else.

With Food Optimising, nothing is banned - whatever your 'treat foods' are, you can have them, in limited amounts, every day. Think of this as less of a 'diet' and more of a lifestyle change. You're learning to shop, cook and eat more healthily for the rest of your life.

Hea - skimmed milk - measured out!
Br - 2 eggs fried (oil 2 syns), toast (Heb) and tsp marg (2 syns).
L - probably noodles with some stir-fried veg (spr. onions and peas - hardly a stir-fry!) mixed in (tsp oil 2 syns).
T - lentil loaf (6 syns) onion gravy (1.5 syns) gr. veg and baked pot (tsp marg 2 syns). I didn't have this in the end as I got some gammon from the C*op half price so had that with mash (4 syns for 1tsp marg and 1 tblsp milk) and cabbage (with 1 tsp marg - (2)
    Snacks - fruit and mullerlight.
    12 syns I think.

Hi Kiwichick - hope you are felling a bit more positive now. The lentil loaf is on the Slimming World website under Cheese and Lentil Loaf. Let me know if you don't have access to the site and I will put it on. This is one of the recipes I really like unlike quorn lasagne which I have given up on - I miss a really cheesy cheese sauce too much!

    Good evening folks!

First time on here today, was driving back from the folks. Yesterday was my first day on track, finished on 10 syns and feeling v relieved and positive now I've finally got going :j

Re: Frylight - I completely forgot to try making my own, but did look at the bottle and the emulsifier is soya lecithin, which is pretty harmless and is in loads of things. I did have a quick look at buying lecithin online but I suspect that if I tried making it using that I would end up with a thick gooey mess and it was more trouble than it's worth... maybe one day when I'm in the lab!! One thing I did drag from my hazy memory of 2nd year biochem lectures is that when fat is emulsified into water to form a colloid it goes white (e.g. milk and mayonnaise are colloids of fat and water) - I was thinking the colour of Frylight is due to nasty chemicals but it's most likely just from the emulsification.
Someone on here asked me to let them know what I thought of the Skechers Shape up trainers were like (sorry can't remember who!). I have worn them in round my flat this week. They had their first proper outing yesterday. They are really comfy to wear, a tad wierd to begin with whilst you get used to walking in them but I loved them. I walked about 2 miles including half mile uphill and I could feel them working. My thighs ached a tiny bit last night but not for long. I really like them, looking forward to going for a walk later in them and walking to work in them.

The only thing I don't like is that they make me at least an inch taller!! I'm almost 6foot as it is!!

    x

Flutterby, know how you feel! I got some for Christmas and am 5'11" without them, as tall as OH with them on! My first proper tryout wasn't until this week either (it was hard enough to just walk upright before that because of the snow!) but I could definitely feel my calves working, especially uphill.

Anyway, day 2 on track :), red today:

B/L: 2 Joe's sausages, bacon, 2 poached eggs, tomato, mushrooms, 57g bread (HEB), 1 tbsp brown sauce (1 syn)
T: Salmon fillet, prawns, HM salsa, carrots, small jacket potato (HEB), 5g butter (2 syns)
S: Milk (HEA), sugar (1 syn), Skinny Cow (5 syns)

Aiming to be in the gym at 7am tomorrow...

Ugh another one of THOSE days

    breakfast: SW rice with grapes
Lunch: SW thai yellow curry with cabbage, a muller light and can of coke zero
Dinner: nothing in the house and couldn't face shopping so got a beef curry and boiled rice from the chinese and halved it with mum, does anyone have any idea how many syns this is? There's no mention of chinese curry on the website at all.

Weigh in on Tuesday and really am expecting a gain this week, I know I'll feel awful when it's been confirmed but I've just had such an awful week food-wise. I could always try living on melon and strawberrys for tomorrow and tuesday.

Well not really a very SW friendly weekend although I have not been as bad as I might have been :o

    yesterday
Breakfast: Boiled eggs on toast (HEB) with a little half fat butter (2 syns)
Lunch: Flapjack - and I'm counting the oats as my second HEB please don't argue with me on this, you'll see why tomorrow, so prob about (10 syns)
Dinner: poached haddock, potatos, cabbage, watercress sauce (4 syns)
    Choc mousse: 4 syns
    Handful of crisps: 2 syns
    Biscuit: 3 syns
Milk for tea as a HEA

So about 25 syns and only one HEA

    Today
Breakfast: Boiled eggs on toast (HEB) with a little half fat butter (2 syns)
Lunch: Flapjack - Oats as HEBs again :o (10 syns)
Dinner: a tortilla omlette with goats cheese - yummy and free with HEA cheese.
Plus a glass of champagne and a piece of birthday cake, many syns :o but it was either that or let my friend drink and eat cake alone on her birthday which seemed a bit mean.

Not exactly great syns wise but I've done a load of exercise that I'm hoping will make up the shortfall. The scales have been saying nice things anyway and I'm hoping they're right...

And it's back to the straight and narrow tomorrow!!

:hello: Hi all, thought I'd show my 'face'! Have just caught up on the weekends posts as we've been running everywhere this weekend. Was up at 5am this morning for the airport run - OH's going earlier for the next few weeks as he's so busy. Couldn't be a&%ed to go back to bed but I know I'll be tired later - and when I'm tired I eat! Luckily I have enough scanbran and Dairylea in to keep me going and I'll have an early night.

Hope everyone's well - keep at it!

    C xx
