well the kedgeree was goreous!! the only difference I made was that I added 1 tbsp of butter at the end and let it melt into it. his made it like a rissotto and moreish.

And next time instead of the cut up boiled egg I think ill make everyone a nice runny poached egg and put it on top of each portion. It would of been even better to cut into a nice egg and let the yolk run through it all Mmmmm

    and a question....
i hd a mini wholemeal pitta with my lunch. I cant find the syns for a wholemeal one on the website, only for white, which is 4? Do u think i should jst give myself 4 for the pitta, or does anyone else know what they are?!
thanks. (i dont know what i would do without u guys! :))

If it was an Asda wholemeal mini pitta (55gms) it can be counted as a HEB :T

Green day today again (find them easier and more filling)

B = Marions rice (had run out of pudding rice so cooked a cup of wholegrain rice, added half to a chocolate mullerlight. Was nice enough and very filling (has a nutty taste so can imagine am eating chocolate and nuts lol )

L = Quorn curry with other half of wholegrain rice.

D = Jacket potato with beans and cheese

Snacks = tea with milk (hea) 6 wholewheat crackerbread (heb1) 6 extra light cheese triangles (heb2). apples and pears , fat free yogurts, water (both still and sparkling).

No syns yet but might have a can of 4% stella artois again tonight :D

    Does the above look ok

Looks good to me. A bit of salad with dinner would have been healthy (and a little more filling perhaps). Enjoy your Stella :)

I love the sound of them Brighton Belle - but I couldn't have a jar of nutella in the house - otherwise they still wouldn't get made and I'd sit there with a teaspoon & the jar! :o

    Hi Skint Catt

If you have a morrisons near you they sell individual portions of nutella with the small pots of jam. Probably a tbsp each about 25p so might prove a bit extravagant to make whole recipe but perhaps it could be downsized or a treat HTH

    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
6 Syns on Green, 10 Syns on Original

    567g/1lb 4oz skinned haddock fillets
    1 red onion
    227g/8oz long grain rice
    1 bay leaf
    2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
    juice of ½ lemon
a couple of good pinches of cayenne pepper
salt and freshly ground black pepper
    2 hardboiled eggs
    Instructions:
    1. Poach the haddock fillets in simmering water for about 8 minutes. Drain off the water into a measuring jug and top up to 600ml/20fl oz with water. Flake the haddock and keep warm.
    2. Finely chop the onion and place in a large pan, pour in 113ml/4fl oz of the reserved fish liquor and cook for 15 minutes until soft. Add the rice, bay leaf and remaining fish liquor. Bring to the boil, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until the rice is soft.
    3. Stir in the flaked haddock, parsley, lemon juice and cayenne pepper, season to taste and serve with quartered hard-boiled eggs.

This does sound really yummy and would be free on EE plan. I shall get some 'finny' tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe Catt :)

I've just had a gorgeous chickpea and quorn curry for dinner, OH didn't fancy anything as he has a dodgy tummy (poor guy!) so I dabbled in the kitchen for myself.

I made enough for two portions and scoffed the lot! good job it was free lol :)
