    hi all

has anyone tried recipes from the last 2 magazines? i bought the one with red dress then 2 days later the new one came out so i'm trying both.

i have so far made the gammon with sunshine veg which was lovely and the oriental baked fish but used salmon instead of trout.

i've just started back on slimming world this week so thought i would try the magazine plans to help me get back in to it

also what is EE, when i last went there was only original and green days so bit confused!

    thanks

If you have a Holland & Barratt near you they sell them in there.

    Morning all

What a beautiful day! I am still on Easter Hols - (work in a school and lucky enough to work term time only) so off to visit my sis today. She has sorted out her wardrobe i am going to pick through before the charity shop gets a look in:D

Havent thought about my food for the day yet. I have some fresh tuna in the fridge so will do that with salad tonight apart from that not sure. I have plenty of good stuff in the cupboards so I should be ok.

Consultant i am doing body optimise online so do not have the opportunity to buy scan bran while at a class - could I substitute it for All Bran perhaps?

I did the fish pie yesterday for supper. I made it with a carrot and swede topping (red day) and it was lovely. In fact i have left overs so could have that for lunch! Todays food is sorted :D

I am mummy to an Isabelle too :j

    Cathedral City Mature Lighter Cheddar 400g £2 @ Somerfield & Co-op :T:T

Is this the cheese where we can have double the amount for a healthy extra?

You could try butternut squash mashed but would have to syn the corn on a red day.
Or switch to a EE day & syn one of the healthy b's then you could have syn free chips yum!!

    Hey all,

I was wondering if you had room for another (not-so) little one?

I did Slimming World last year and lost 2 stone, my target was being bridesmaid at my brothers wedding, and stupidly once that was over the diet went out the window! I managed ok up until Christmas by just being sensible, but since Jan I've put a full stone back on again!

I'm a student just now, so can't really afford to go back to the classes - so I wondered if I could join back in with your happy little gang?

I half heartedly started yesterday (izzabellesmummy - I tried the pan seared scallops with potatoes last night from this months mag - it was delicious!! And we used frozen Scallops from Asda so wasn't as expensive as you'd think!).

I'm struggling a bit with my plan for today, but so far it's looking like:

    Breakfast:

2 Weetabix (HEB) with Semi-SKimmed milk (HEA)
Grapefruit segments with 2 tblspoons of fat free nat yog (free)

    Lunch:

Tomato Soup (Made myself so it's free)
    Salad with cold meat (free)

    Dinner:

Chilli Chicken Kievs (Free + HEB)

Here's where I'm stuck though - can anyone suggest anything I could have with the Kiev's that's free on a red day? I was thinking some kind of Vegetable mash, but I wasn't sure what? and maybe corn on the cob.

Any ideas would be muchly appreciated!

    xx
  • I'm liking your thinking with the chips joey-lou!!

How does extra easy work though? The last time I did SW there were only red/green days

    xx
  • Ok - I've had a re-think on dinner, so I can make it syn free on EE, does this sound ok:

Chicken, stuffed with quark and wrapped in lean bacon with the fat removed (basically, a chicken kiev, but I'm wrapping it in bacon rather than breadcrumbs - not sure how it'll taste but I'll give it a go!), served with SW chips and baked beans?

Then for dessert, sugar free jelly with strawberries (jelly still 1/2 a syn?).

So overall, that would mean I'd only used 1/2 a syn throughout the day, which means if I get marvin' later on (there's been no filling me recently, so I'm guessing I probably will), I can use my syn's for some crackerbreads or toast or something?

    xx

Just had a chicken and mayo sandwich on white bread :cry::cry: kicking myself now! It's not shopping day until tomorrow so I was struggling. .. . .
My mum is having ds overnight tonight and bf has just phoned to say his dad is taking us out for curry
So I think today is going to be forgotton about. Going to sit down now, write a menu plan for the week and a shopping list and stick to it, might treat myself to the mag and get some inspiration. Will weigh myself in the morning at Boots and do it religiously at the same day and time each week.

I had a look on the sw group on facebook and there are loads of before and after pic's which has given me a little boost.

    Welcome back!! :)

Don't worry about the curry!! Lamb Rogan Josh is 6 syns so if you have that with plain boiled rice which is free its not too bad :) Poppadoms are only 4 syns each as well so if you wanted to flexi syn you'd probably find you could eat a bit of naan bread (20syns for a whole one) and some chutneys too (mango chutney is 2syns per tbsp.) :) Also to make up 1/3 superfree you could have some onion salad :D
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    Todays food (red or ee)

B - 28g bitesize honey nut shredded wheat (heb) with milk (hea), cuppa

    L - Chicken tikka kebabs

S - banana, mullerlight, pink and white (2.5)

Drinks - water, water and more water - bought myself a flashy new cup to encourage me to drink more! lol

D - Chicken legs and veggies (at friends house)
