Hey all,
Not a bad day today, have been doing the gardening and even went for a jog in the lovely sunshine.
Todays plan EE:
B - 28 g Jordans Muesli with SS milk from allowance (HEB and HEA)
L - Left ofter past primavera from yesterday (3 syns of parmesan)
S - Satsuma, lemon hi fi bar (5.5 syns) and ryvita (part of HEB)
D - Salmon fish cakes from magazine with homemade coleslaw using extra light mayo (2 syns)
I'm out tomorrow night at a dinner, but will try and keep the alcohol intake down.

Flexi syns are there for a special occasion. Say you knew you were going out to a party on Saturday night. You would (in an ideal world) find out what food and drink was on offer, roughly work out the syns that you thought you would need to cover everything you would want to consume. This may come to say 60 syns (or even 100). You should go out, eat and drink whatever you had planned, keeping a tally in your head of how many syns you're having. When you get to 60 (or 100 if that's what you chose) you STOP!!
The next day, instead of waking up with that awful "Oh heavens, I've blown it again" feeling, you can go into your day knowing that you stayed in control and didn't go over the allowance you'd set for yourself.
You should carry on with the plan as normal, still having your normal 5 - 15 syns.
It does work, you remain in control at all times and the damage to your slimming campaign is minimal. It may set you back a few days, but how much better than you go off the rails completely?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
*slips in quietly*
i been a bad girl. but im back again which is the main thing, right!?

BF: Mullerlight, Cup Tea

Just got back from our local library where there was a talk being given on healthy eating and cooking. Turned out to be a group called Saladmaster doing the demo and trying to flog their very expensive gear. Most of what they had to say was nonsense really (did you know that by boiling or steaming or veg we are giving ourselves cancer - the only way to prevent this is to buy one of their pans that cook without water or fat. The electric skillet she used was very nice - for £790 it won't be coming to my place:eek:
They also made a nice mixed salad with the Saladmaster machine - a mere snip at £299!!!!!! But not for me folks - there was a quiz at the end and I answered the most correct questions and won a machine:j Thought it might be a trick but she handed it over without me having to promise my first born grandchild or anything else:T
Guess who is going to be eating a lot of chopped salad and veg for the next few weeks? Honestly who would pay that amount of money for basically a coleslaw maker?:rotfl::rotfl:
Marion:)When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

Well done you :T I love homemade coleslaw (and gadgets), but I just use a mandolin slicer type thing - not for me the top-notch gadget (looking for a green-with-envy smilie) :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Hey all,
Not really looking forward to weekend! Well i am but not in a SW way! Going out drinking for the first time in forever!!! Does anyone know the best alcoholic drink we can have syn wise?
Made a lovely dinner last night, off the cuff as usual. I cooked pasta and haricott beans, drained added tub of quark, garlic & chilli (lazy stuff!) some left over fat free cottage cheese, pepper and tabasco sauce then a heA of cheddar. Couldn't believe how nice it turned out! Defo do it again, but this time i might add some more chilli (love the stuff!)
Brekkie today is the usual strawberries, banana and muller
Lunch is quorn style shepards pie (without the potato) with lots of veges packed in!
Not sure what dinner will be, might try the quorn style chicken nuggets - Anyone tried them before? What about syn value?0
