I know it doesn't make sense but I think most of the people on here will tell you that if they don't have their syns they don't lose! Also if you are not having your HE's, again you are not following the SW plan. You may be on a diet but it is not the SW eating plan!
Thank you, that's what I thought. The thing is, i don't really eat bread, cereals, cheese and rarely have milk so need to try and incorporate more of these into my meals, it will take some getting used to!
I will go back through my book and look at the syns that i like and make sure i try and have at least 5-10 over the next few days.
thanks for the advice!0 -
Hi All,
Can't hold my excitement any more. I have just been to the doctors and i have got a third set of SW vouchers. She said she has never given out a third set before and i have done better than anyone else she has ever dealt with! I'm sooooooooo chuffed.
Shame i will probably spoil the week by going out at the weekend! But i will be good until Saturday!
Congrats to all those who WI this week
Well done. Our doctor doesnt do them nowBut I got one lot a year ago, so grateful for that as it introduced me to SW and subsequently this lovely forum :T

I understand where you are coming from if you don't like bread and cereal but there are loads of soups and tinned fruit options or extra virgin oil that you can use as your HEB's. If you don't dislike cereal you could try just eating it dry of an evening like a snack? Not sure about the cheese and milk though sorry! I havn't ever met anyone who doesn't like bread :rotfl:!When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

afternoon everyone - if I have to look at another apple again it will be too soon:rotfl:
Brought a bag of apples this morning, plan was I could have one at work after my lunch (jp with lime and black pepper tuna mmmm) and take the rest home for the week. Have been really peckish - so everytime I have weakened (lots of Easter egg choc lying around the office) have turned to an apple.
Really had enough now! Good job I'm off home soon where OH has cooked me a fab low-syn dinner - hopefully;)Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

QUARK QUESTION?
I have seen on here that quark takes on the flavour of anything added to it, told hubby this & as he isn't keen on tomato based sauces I recommended adding blue cheese [his fav] to quark aand using that on his pasta. Now he did this a few days ago and said it still tasted of quark [tangy] so question is how long does it take to lose that tang and fully taste of the cheese? Not having tasted it myself [dont like blue cheese] I'm now a bit put off using the other tub of quark to make some other type of sauce. What does quark absorb the best?
Any ideas most welcome.:TIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I'm not a blue cheese fan either so not sure how this mix would taste. Maybe you could try adding a little bit more? I find quark works really well with things like sweet chilli sauce, lemon curd, nutella, garlic or parmesan added to it.
Today's Green food plan:
B - 28 g Jordons muesli with SS milk and ryvita (HEA/HEB), melon, peaches and a banana
L - I just wasn't hungry. I know this is bad and will try and have something in future.
D - Pasta primavera from latest SW mag. 1 x HEA for the parmesan
S - Lemon Hilife bar (5.5 syns), fruit, ryvita crunch (HEB)
I looked back at my group book today and it is spooky that I last joined a class on 1/4/08 and my finishing weight is exactly the same as what I weighed in at last night.
I would really recommend the chicken tikka skewers from the current magazine btw. My DH cooked them yesterday and they were deelish :-)Slimming world Restart 29/08/11 weight unknown?? 46 days until I go home :j0
