I had to go to an early wi this week as im busy tomorrow I lost another 1lb. Ive still been sticking with mainly green and had one EE day so I could have chicken chow mein as a treat on Sat. I did have some extra chocolate on Sunday and a take out sandwich during the week. So not a perfect week.
Im thinking of calling Curves this week for a free try out. |I really need to tone my arms up a bit. Even If I manage to lose a bit more by summer I dont want to feel depressed every time I see my bingo wings in the mirror when im wearing a summer vest.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Not posted before. Am doing slimming world from home, not done it for about a year. Got about 6 - 8lb to loose and basically just need to stop being a pig! I really struggle with red days for my lunch? I use a HEb for breakfast and quite like to save the other for the carbs at night (still doing red and green days). Any advice? Also in the magazines they list some items from supermarkets that are free or how many syns. you don't know of a central place you can see more things like this? They only usually list about 5 in the magazine!!
Hi and welcome tot he thread.
For lunch I try and have superfree and superspeed foods so for example on a red day I'd have a big tuna salad. I usually do extra easy so often bulk up my salad by adding beans (not baked beans, cannelli or aduki beans - or any of those tins of beans you get in the supermarket). On their own beans are pretty tasteless but I add a big spoonful of chillis and a little sweetener (tastes a bit like sweet chilli sauce).
I also like making a quiche/omelette/frittata. Add whatever free food you like to frying pan, give it a quick cook and add beaten egg. Don't even attempt to turn it over, just put the frying pan under the grill. My favourtie additions are sliced brussels, baked beans and tuna (honestly I know it sounds awful but it is nice).
Or soups are good for lunch too.
I don't find the website particularly useful for free or low syn 'convienence' food - maybe we could start one of here?
Of the top of my head heres a couple of low syn/free things that I like:
Asda 'Malcom Allen' braveheart burgers (free ee,red)
Asda tinned vegetable Dall (free ee,green)
Onken fat free vanilla yoghurt (free)
Laughing cow deli sqaures blue cheese (5 for a HeA)
M&S hot chicken curry tinned (5 syns for the tin ee,red)
Perhaps everyone could copy and add there favourites to give us all some new ideas?0 -
I think it is the machine. What was your weight before was it close to the first boots readout? It sounds like youve sts rather than put on a whole stone. Unless you ate 4 cheeseburgers each day plus a pizza for dinner I still dont think you could put on that much in a week.
At my first WI I was 11st 11lb, then put on 3lb so was 12st (both of these on SW scales, then the Boots weigh in which took me back to 11st 11lb.) So yes the 1st Boots was close to my original weight, if that makes sense
I'm glad someone else thinks its the scales, thanksGoing to to my mum's tomorrow in a different town so will weigh myself in the Boots there, hopefully getting a better result.

Hi, Haven't posted in ages. I originally started doing SW online however this really didn't work for me, so I've found a class nearby and find it works better for me. My downfall is not being organised - last week I thought I'd chosen healthy options on a day when I was travelling to work and when I added up the syns I was into the 30's:eek:! No wonder I lost no weight this week, but then I didn't put on either. Food diary for today is:
Breakfast: 2 x Weight Watchers wholemeal bread (HEB), 2tsp light spread (2 syns), banana
Snacks: Banana and an apple, tea with milk (HEA)
Lunch: Tuna salad with tomatoes, olives (1 syn), eggs and rocket. 1 tbsp Hellman's extra light mayonnaise (1 syn), Lentil slim s soup (3.5 syns)
Dinner: Think it will be the Risotto from last month's magazine - without the parmesan as I've used my HEA for the day.0 -
Okay today's plan:
Breakfast: weetabix & milk
Lunch: its on the fly, so ummm... might make a mug shot to take in my car with me. Oh and an apple too.
Dinner: it'll be late so I can see another of my mugshots being used to tide me over until then, but I'm planning on having roasties with sprouts and braised red cabbage, and some onion gravy (only syns planned so far today)Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been around, don't exactly know why except that somehow felt a bit deprived and needed to not think about SW for a while if that makes sense
anyhow still on the downward slope, managed to lose 1.5lb last week and looking to lose 1.5 this week to bring my total to 1.5 stone (fingers crossed)
Anyway got a question for you. I've got a lot of stuff on over the next little while and have realised that there will definitely be 5 classes I can't make between now and mid-June. I know you can get 3 weeks hols normally but is there any room for negotiation? Would have liked to go for another 12 week programme to keep me on the straight and narrow through this tricky time but don't want to end up paying for weeks I'm not going to be there. Guess the alternative is to let it go for a while and then restart again. Any views?0 -

Hi and Welcome Back! Re the SW classes, if you can't go for 5 weeks I would just restart when you go back. It will only cost you the starting fee plus 1 weeks class and you would get your full holiday entitlement! The consultants don't mind you doing that - they are just happy to see you back!

Could you go to a different class during the week? That still counts, because I checked the other day when I thought I wouldn't be able to make class.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!
