    Morning all,
I have a quick question - when I made the SW quiche previously I used 3 eggs and a small pot of ff cottage cheese. I have now got the large (500g) pot of cottage cheese so would I double the quantity of eggs ? Sorry if this is a bit daft but 6 eggs seems quite a lot, or should I just use 4 ?

Hope someone can help - back at work tomorrow so looking to prep lots of lunch menus in advance and OH is complaining that I didn't leave him any quiche last time !

BTW, we tried the parma wrapped monkfish last night - I loved it although OH said the preparation was a lot of messing around for someone with large hands. Would have it again but would use cheaper fish - perhaps haddock or even River Cobbler which we discovered recently because it was on offer in asda.

I make SW quiche quite a bit and I find it doesn't matter about the quantities so much. Saying that I wouldn't use a large pot of cottage cheese with 6 eggs you would end up with a huge quiche! Could you use half of it with the 3 egg one you did before and use the rest of the cottage cheese for another meal? Slice of ham wrapped around a spoon of cottage cheese is a nice snack food ( sort of like the parma and monkfish but not so expensive:rotfl:)

    Marion:)

I had a lovely gammon done in the slow cooker, mash and broccoli for tea last night. it was delish.

As the weather was so nice yesterday I decided to get out and dig over the veggie plot ready for planting in the next few weeks. I spent over half an hour over constant digging, then more raking and weeding, so should of burnt off a few calories.

Ive also started making stuff out of Fimo (polymer clay) in the evenings to keep myself busy, this worked great last night as I forgot to go and snack as I was so engrossed in it. Ill be doing this most nights now.

btw if you click on my name and go to my homepage it takes you to my blog with pics of some of the things ive been making. they are not that great but they were my first attempts so im trying to take more time and get better.

I had a look at your home page Nic - very pretty! I left a message too!:D

I am off for weigh in this morning, I have been very very good again this week (surprising how good needing to lose weight for knee replacement makes you):o so am hoping for another 2 pounds this week - fingers crossed everyone!

    Love
    Marion:)

Mmm we also discovered River cobbler recently, it is lovely. The kids like it. its like a cross between cod and haddock for texture, but I think its softer. It would be lovely with parma ham, god im hungry!

The recipe is from the latest mag and is supposed to serve 4 :o @ 1/2 syn per serving on EE and red. It does say that any firm fish would work in the recipe - let me know if you need me to post up the details.

    Hi and welcome:j
First of all the rice - if you measure exactly twice as much water as rice into a saucepan that has a well fitted lid, bring to a hard boil, put the lid on tightly and remove from heat., Do not peek!!! and in about 25 mins or so you will have perfectly cooked rice ready for your banana and yogurt and cinnamon which is also free!
Scan bran - doesn't really make any difference, I have 5 every day normally at lunch time with good results the next morning:o:p

    Marion:)

Thank you, thank you - am just tucking into yummy rice with straws and bluebs knowing that I haven't got to get the blowtorch out to my saucepan. :j

Just back from weigh in and am so delighted to report another 2 lb off:j:j:D

I am so happy, I didn't get slimmer of the week this week as there were some real good losses by some of the other members but I don't care - I am happy about my 2 pounds:T:T.
