And another quick question Rachel Allen made vegatable crisps was wondering can we do that or is it the misuse of free food? I really fancy the beetroot ones she made

I was wondering this too, they looked yummy. ive a feeling they would be a misuse as you are cutting them really thin so you wouldnt have to 'work' at eating them.
Im not sure how they would turn out with frylite though and I dont think I would syn the oil for them. I would only use what you would eat in one portion, maybe using one sweet potato and one parsnip etc rather than 6 cos you probably wouldnt eat that many in one go.
I wouldnt do it very often just incase, by a wee try wouldnt do much harm.

It's not that I'm being not helpful - when all classes go electronic there won't be a password to share anyway! And if we share it now we'll get this thread shut down so no support for any of us - is that what you want?
Why wont there be a password when it all goes electronic?
Will your log in be linked to the card number or something?

I'm suffering this morning after my run, my legs and stomach are soooooo sore!

We're off to Frankie and Benny's for a meal tonight after seeing a film, any ideas what are the safest things on the menu?

  • Hi everyone!
I'm on a mission to start SW!
I tried to do it in the past but I dont think I was in the right frame of mind for it, wheras now I've lost 17st of excess baggage (the ex) and although things aren't perfect right now, my life is on the up!
I'm living in a womens refuge with my boys at the moment and have been eating fairly healthily, not snacking so much and eating at set meal times, basically it's such a mission to go down to the kitchen with the baby in tow that I only go there when it's really neccisary :rotfl:

I'm in an unknown area and the only group I can get to is a daytime one, which is bit of a trek from here, going to do a dummy run to see how long it takes, if not I might join up online dependig on how much it costs!

I've spent ages reading through this thread - no housework but this is important research ! I just wanted to say how inspirational you all are - I have only been doing SW for a couple of weeks, my consultant seems really nice and the group are friendly but this forum is so informative and welcoming, I am looking forward to sharing my losses (and gains :o ) with you all and know I can come here for a kick up the bum if need be.:T

I am already trying to incorporate more superfree foods where possible and have been off work this week so have been able to try out some new things. I love the SF quiches - had mine with cherry tomatoes and lean ham and it was yummy, planning on adding some onions and peppers next time round.

Marion's rice is also delicious - have been enjoying the banana version with a sprinkling of cinnamon (please don't tell me that's synful !). I have one question about the rice though - is it just me or does anyone else get a little bit of rice that sticks to the bottom of the saucepan ? I've tried two different saucepans but still a bit of artex rice remains (I am quite embarrassed that I have to admit I can't cook rice:o ) - any solutions as to how to avoid this ?

One more question - this Scan Bran that people have mentioned - is this an option to be included when you need a bit of a fibre boost? And if so, would you have this in the morning or be better of eating this later in the day (I am trying to be delicate as to how quickly this takes effect...:rotfl:).

Looking forward to being part of this - if you'll have me.
