Thanks
The links goes to the recipe for lemon curd because it was on the same post as the couscous cakes. I removed the recipes for the couscous cakes when the rules changed and you had to start synning the couscous as a flour substitute (which makes it 5 syns per 28gms).I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi Everyone i am new to slimming world! Hoping to lose approx 7.5 stone! I have a hliday booked for end of august and hoping tohave lost a good bulk of that weight by then. Does anyone have any good motivational tips, just looking at the cous cous cake recies, are they any good?
Hi and welcome to this group and Slimming World as a whole
The best motivation comes from within - ask yourself why you want to lose weight and what may come along and stop you. When you have a list of things which will get in the way of your slimming campaign, sit and write out your 'battle plan'.
For instance; maybe you're going to a big family gathering where there will be a buffet of synful foods.
Question: How will you avoid a blow-out?
Answer: You could eat a filling meal of SW foods before you go so that you will be too full to indulge in the buffet.
Remember to measure yourself now, at the beginning so that you can make a note of the inches you lose as well as the pounds. Eat lots of free and superfree foods and drink plenty of water every day.
By August (about 6 months) you could lose 3-4 stone and never feel hungry - how good is that?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Thanks for posting the recipe. I have been reading on other threads that you only had to syn the cous cous if it were ground into flour, so now I am more confused. If you can eat as much cous cous as you want as it is free - how would it be synned if it is mixed with an egg? because nothing else has changed with it.0

:bdaycake:Hope you've had a happy birthday Catt, without any more breakages
Marion, I'm sorry I wasn't here to comment on your Consultant's behaviour, but I see you've had a lot of advice and support from others of our merry bandI had an area manager that sounded a little like her a while ago. I hated her and almost gave up being a Consultant because of the way she treated people. Thankfully, she moved on but I did put in a complaint about her and was told she was overdue some training! Sounds like your Consultant would benefit from the same
Perhaps you could print out the following and ask your Consultant if she feels that she fits the bill:-

It is being used as a flour, even wihout the grinding. The idea is that normally couscous is the basis of a healthy, filling meal and not used as a snack food (which is what cake is).
I understand people being confused about the 'misuse of food' rule, but if you ask yourself the question "would anyone not on a diet, use this product for this purpose". Generally the answer will be "no" and then you'll see the point of the rule.
If the cake you make from couscous, polenta or whatever, is only eaten as an occasional treat, then it's fine. Bake it, cut it into several portions, eat one and freeze the rest for another time.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I heard today that one of the managers at work has recently joined SW and has lost over a stone in 5 weeks! she looks great.
I have a wedding to attend in 3 months and I hate my huge tummy......so why do I find it so hard to find any motivation to stick to the plan?
