Hey guys!
I had a bit of a distaster in the kitchen today making a chicken curry.
I made it last week and it was edible, but not enjoyable really. I thought i'd try again tonight, and used a different recipe, yet it still wasn't very nice! too runny, even half a pot of total 0% natural yoghurt didn't sort it out.
Does anyone have some top tips for a lovely thick curry??
or know of some low(ish) syn ready made curry sauces/packet jobs?
it's the only thing i'm missing really, even microwaved curry meals taste better than mine at the moment!
Also, i'm visiting the parents next weekend and have access to.... BIG SUPERMARKETS! Yeyyyy! So Tesco's, Asda and/or Morrisons will all have a good going over
Just wanted to ask what are some good own brand (ie cheap) low syn crisps?
I think I read that tesco cheese curls are 3 syns somewhere?
and sorry to hear about your awry plans Skint_Catt! Let's hope thats your lot for a long long while!
and chin up kellybigboobs, try to keep motivated! How about doing a meal plan for the week? that always makes me feel a bit more positive when i'm feeling off track.Slimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

Can you taste them at all though? I really really hate mushy pea's but if there is no taste of them at all, I may be tempted to try it.
Does anyone know the syn value for Patak's Curry Sauce - hot madras?
Tried that once, and it was delish
or there is a little chinese supermarket in the city center that do a lovely curry paste, but i'm sure that it will be Syn City!

AF,which recipe are you using?
Generally I don't add the chicken/meat til after I've got the sauce how I like it.If the sauce is too runny add less liquid and/or reduce it by simply simmering for a while with no lid on the pan.
Thanks for your post,I'm going to get back on plan tomorrow (today?!?) so hopefully can limit any damage!:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p
