Does anyone know the syns of the Wanchi ferry meal kits pls? They're not on syns online yet but I have a money off coupon to use!
  • Ooh, I am so excited (how sad am I:o)! I have just ordered an actifry from Amazon, they are reduced in price and I have been wanting one for so long! My consultant in class brings hers in quite often and makes the most wonderful SW chips - enough for four using only a tsp of oil! I have heard of others who use it with frylight as well so I will be doing a lot of experimenting as soon as it gets here!:j:j:j

    Marion:):):):):)

You should have 1/3 superfree at every meal on EE - to do it on red/green will certainly help though it's less essential generally. Your consultant should not have made that comment - I wouldn't have stood for that - everyone's different so they're losses will be too. are you weighing/mesuring your HEx's?
are you drinking enough too? Water helps everything through the system.

    C xx

Thanks C, I was quite embaressed! She also made comments that the group as a whole had gained as much as lost - that couldn't have made the gainers feel too good either! Last night was the first time I'd met her and I think I prefer the stand in lady from last week! She didn't ask or look at what I'd been eating or anything. I'll see how it goes next week and may look for another group to attend.
My b's are generally ryvita and a's tend to be either 42gm cathedral city lighter or dairylea. Some days I haven't had either so maybe I need to make sure I eat more. I drink lots of black tea but I guess I need to up my plain water intake. It is my star week so hopefully that's got something to do with the tiny loss!

hey dont be angry you have lost 1lb in 52 weeks that will be just over 4stone if you continue to lose 1lb a week

maybe try drinking more make sure you wiegh all your heb and hea's eat a maximum of 10 syns a day - dont save them up as this may cause you to binge
dont worry about losing or being the same as your friend just do the best you can you may find next week youll drop more

also you may want to consider that you have less weight to lose than your friend
write down what your eating eat lot of ss foods theres a 12 ss food soup you can make

Oh the soup sounds good - where can I find the recipe please? I've only had 4 syns most days and 8 on one day.

  • Karen- have you tried upping your syns? Say 10 a day? It may help :) 4 syns seems very low bearing in mind you can have up to 15...

Still haven't weighed in yet (naughty i know!) however i have lost a whole inch from my belly!!! Plus all my clothes are a bit bigger for me!! :) i reckon in 2 weeks i'd have dropped a whole clothes size!!! :D

You can add cooked meat or quorn or anything else you fancy. It makes a nice big pot full, I sometimes takes it to tastings at class and it always goes down well:j

    Marion:)

What do you bring it to class in Marion!? I would like to do this for my class as I keeo going on about the curry, and no-one seems to be convinced! So if i could take it in and they could taste a bit they might be more inclined to give it a go themselves!!

  • I have got a Tefal Actifry, have had it about 2 years and wouldn't cook my chips any other way. It is also very nice for cooking mushrooms, bacon and tomatoes all at the same time for breakfast - the flavours all mingle - yum.

The only thing I would say is to stick with the oil, the fry light just doesn't seem to cook them the same. They are OK,but the oil is better.

    :)

I normally just take it in a plastic container and bring my Remoska with me and plug it in there. Or I can just use the microwave in the kitchen of the hall we use or even the big cooker! We are very lucky with the facilities in our local hall which is we where we have our SW classes.

Hi everyone, I'd like to join - started Slimming World last Monday, managing to stick to the plan so far, but very disappointed when I discovered how many syns some of my favourite foods are! Looking forward to trying some of the recipes on this thread :)

Am having a bad day, * week has knocked me for six. Feeling very under the weather, only had my weetabix so far today just can't face eating anything. Hope to manage some carrot soup later. I also suffer with IBS and this has been playing up recently so not been eating as much as I should.

    Food today;

B- 3 weetabix [both hebs] milk [hea] coffee [milk from allowence]

    L- nothing :o

T- Carrot soup with added potato, onion & chunks of carrot.

Snacks- nothing springs to mind, BAD DAY. Had a packet of sugar snap peas.

Bottle of water- hardly drunk :( will try to finish. Finished it :-)
Not had any syns today so may have a bag of crisps later.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
