Slimming World support thread for 2010

B = fat free yogurts with blueberries.

L = 10 mini quorn scotch eggs 15 syns :o with salad. Used salt and vinegar for dressing.

D = Potatoes, onions, cherry tomatoes, roasted with frylight.

S = Tea with milk (hea1) 6 wholegrain crackerbread with 4 light laughing cow triangles (heb !&2.)
Lots of water. Apples

Got a question. If I have 3 wholewheat crackerbreads with 3 scan brans, is that allowed. Not very keen on the scan brans but they taste ok with laughing cow cheese on with a crackerbread on top like a sandwich.

Karen - As far as I know the 'diet tango orange' is free, its quite a big bottle ,I put one in a pint pot, loads of ice and top up with soda.

Someone will come along and tell me if I'm wrong

Syn Free Pancakes:


1 Egg per pancake
2-3 Teaspoons sweetener (depending on own taste)
3-4 Drops of vanilla essence

First separate the white from the yolk and put into separate bowls, Whisk the egg white until fluffy and add the sweetener, In the other bowl add the vanilla essence then fold the yolk into the egg white
Heat a frying pan with frylight, add the mix and spread as you would a normal pancake after a few mins flip over (But do be careful they are much more delicate than a regular pancake) And then Hey presto scrummy syn free pancakes.


You could add cinnammon, strawberries or fruits of the forest as an alternative once cooked.

I also can't find any of the pasta dishes on syns online for pizza express restaurant. The leggera low calorie pizzas are 12.5 syns but it's only for half and they have the middle cut out of them so are a bit over priced for what it is and not very filling to be honest.

Also I have heard C&G Starkey, Joe's Sausages and LaValle Farm do syn free sausages. Are these available to buy in supermarkets and if not are there any syn free ones that you can get in them?

Also why is pasta quiche not free anymore?

Ive never heard of the other 2 but Joes are only available online, you have to order about a minimum 8 packs I think. Some butchers are slimmingworld approved and sell sausages that are either free or very low syns. Consultant31 posted a full list on the thread before last.

As for the pasta quiche im not sure why its not free anymore. I know the pasta n sauces all have around 1-1/2 syns each now (except the tomato and onion one) so that would be a reason to add those syns, but I dont see how it could be a misuse of free food if you are only eating what you would normally in one sitting and its not ground down.

I just want to vouch for Marions pancakes. I made these last year and have made them inbetween. They are delicious and suprisingly substancial. I love them in a big pile with bananas and syn some maple syrup or golden syrup.
Ive just made the kids scotch pancakes and they smell good, but I only made a small batch so there arent any leftovers. Ill be making Marions later when oh is up.

good morning to you all...

Had a day out in Brighton with my teenage daughter yesterday, we shopped, chatted had lunch and afternnon tea + cakes together and even though it was def not a slimming world friendly day, i enjoyed the time with her so much that it was worth it.

so today im going to be extra good and have a red day. i have some steak in the fridge so that will be nice with some salad and new pots as one of my heb, not sure about rest of the meals yet...... those pancakes sound yummy.
