i have had a lovely day and enjoyed what i have ate and connot believe that it is all free!
B - 1 x weetabix with hot water & 3 ryvita's & ww marmalade (1 syn)
L - home made veg soup & dish chopped up toms with black pepper and lean corned beef
T - gammon steak with loads of dry roasted toms & mushrooms
i also have ready some melon, pineapple & mango for pud, but will have at supper
i have gone back to basics and re-reading all my books and cannot believe all the free foods, from differnt supermarkets etc., that are included as free.
i am off to asda tomorrow for a slow roast lamb shank in mint gravy with rosemary & thyme for tea - it sounds lovely x
can someone tell me though why is a pkt of dried savoury rice free, but the pouches of the express rice seems to be anything from 2 syns to 6 syns a pkt?slimming world start: 17.1.10 @ 200 lb's
lost up to now - 7 lb's
first target: 180 (this is waht i stuck to most of my life!)
second target: 160 ( I haven't been this for over 10 years)
third target: 138(my personal target)
final target: 120 (this is what i was when i got married)0 -

Been busy today and have just been able to catch up on here! Had weigh in this morning and pleased to have lost another 1 pound. Slow and sure - thats me!:) We are having some sort of party next week at class so must think about what to bring for the buffet. It is awkward because it is a morning class so a lot of dishes would be a little too much for breakfast. Most of us don't eat till we have been weighed:o
Perhaps I will make a breakfast quiche?

I can't tell you why savoury rice is free (sometimes i think SW have a deal with batchelors!!) but the u/bens pouches of rice have oil added to keep the grains separate.Thats why they have syns.0 -

Welldone your food all sounds yummy. Is lean corned beef free too? I thought it had syns so have avoided it, but the kids love it so I often have it sitting in the fridge.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Many thanks Debjay! I just went for it and joined, i'm now trying to figure out what it's all about as there seeems to be 3 different options, original, Green or Extra Easy plan.....and i've printed off sheets and am gradually making sense of it all lol!
My first impression is WOW can I really eat all that!? :T yeehaa!

I had lovely mince and tatties for dinner. I normally cook it on the hob and have it with mash but I usually add some gravy granuals to thicken it and to give it extra flavour. But this morning I put the lean mince, onion,new potatoes, carrot, mixed herbs, bay leaf, oxo cube and some bovril, and a little water into the slow cooker. We had it around 5 and it was delish and free. i didnt have to add the gravy as all the flavours had came out cos it had been cooking on low for so long, the mince was also lovely and soft. There was 4 clean plates at tea time.
Lunch was also good, i made a king prawn fried rice with spring onions, peas and mushrooms. Free and filling.
the problem is im getting peckish now. id normally have a treat but im trying to claw back syns from the weekend, or id make syn free chips. I might get the beads out and make that necklace I was going to make for going out on Saturday, it will keep my mind of it and my hands busy.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
