Hi all can I rejoin this forum? Since Christmas I have been using my new Kenwood and have been enjoying too much home baked bread, scones, cakes etc which have added a few extra inches and pounds. I need to get back to sorting out my meal plan.

Hi there, I have a couple of questions to ask. Is it ok to use all 15 syns everyday or not to use any at all? Also, do you have to use all Healthy Extra A's and B's? I feel that there is so much to eat on this plan and can't always get through it all...
I used to eat crisps everyday, it is so nice to see that I haven't even missed them so far... This plan is really suiting me, but I am only on week 2!

You should use most of your sysn every day. They are part of a balanced diet and help at not feeling deprived. You should use a min of 5 - using none will slow your weight loss.
Again you really should have your HEb's for a balanced diet with fibre & calcium but if you miss one or two occassionally they are ok - try working them & your syns into your meals if you find you're not having them regularly. the fibre helps your weight loss as does the calcium (fat clings to both) so do try to use them.
If you do find yourself missing crisps there are plenty for 4/5 syns a pack like French Fries & Quavers.0 -

B - 1 x weetabix with hot water & 3 ryvita's & ww marmalade (1 syn)
L - home made veg soup & dish chopped up toms with black pepper and lean corned beef
T - gammon steak with loads of dry roasted toms & mushrooms
i also have ready some melon, pineapple & mango for pud, but will have at supper
i have gone back to basics and re-reading all my books and cannot believe all the free foods, from differnt supermarkets etc., that are included as free.
i am off to asda tomorrow for a slow roast lamb shank in mint gravy with rosemary & thyme for tea - it sounds lovely x
can someone tell me though why is a pkt of dried savoury rice free, but the pouches of the express rice seems to be anything from 2 syns to 6 syns a pkt?
Corned beef is not free anymore (it used to be many years ago) so I hope you counted the syns!

Thanks for your reply, your explanation makes it much clearer to me now! I will remember french fries and quavers when I get the crisps urge... (hopefully not for a while though, I'm not missing them YET)I'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!0 -
