Hello.
I thought i'd do a post from work for a change,as i have a free lesson and no particular motivation to do anything even vaguely useful.
My meal out was really nice, but ended up expensive as it was one of them jobs where the bill was split. I'd had a maximum of £15 worth of food and drink, but ended up spending £30. It's a bit much really as that would normally be enough for both me and DH to go out. But you can't show yourself up by being too tight at that sort of thing. I could have used that for something baby related though i'm sure.
i ended up feeding one of the neighbourhood cats by accident yesterday. I left the door open while feeding my two, and this other cat came in and started wolfing it down while mine just sat there watching. It seemed starving poor little thing. I let it eat some, but then i turfed it out. I don't really want to start that.
I'm shattered today, so i have had two legitimate colouring lessons with my kids. One was carrying on with posters. My 2nd was designing a place we could move to if the world ended. It has been great. The kids appreciated the slower pace too and were excellent. I've also managed to book the computer room for this afternoon so we can go and do some research about the eden project. I think i can just about make it to 3, and i seriously hope no kids turn up for coursework help tonight. Then i'm going to go and have a kip before DH gets home.
Wanted to say, Moggins - thanks for the FLC. I was actually able to ask one of my work colleagues back to my house as he didn't have time to go home before the meal. Although not perfectly clutter free, my house was clean, and i could let him use the bathroom, and my room to change in without any stress. :T :j Sending good vibes for little chloe - hope it turns out to be a false alarm.
hugs to smashing blouse
have too much brain fog to think of what anyone else said, so hugs if you need one, and hope the work day is going well/quickly for all of you.

Hi everyone!
Queenie- my sardine burgers are easy peasy. Split and toast wholemeal baps, remove and spread layer of mayo on one side, topped with mashed sardines [ones in tomato sauce] and finish with a slice of Edam. Shove back under the grill et voila!!
Much calmer day here in work land today and it's my last day on my own so things should calm down next week. Phew!
Mad dash around Tesco this pm as OH will collect the small person. Am cheating for tea and have told the others that they can have a burger from the BBQ at this evening's fete when I'm doing the raffle. Fortunately the bar is selling Pimms and I should get a freebie!! Small person is doing his country dancing again mid way through the fete so shall escape the raffle to watch my little darling perform {I haven't been organised enough to get his PE kit home and washed and although he insists it's clean I have my doubts...well I shall find out when he's dancing won't I!]
As posted yesterday off to Bedford via Milton Keynes as OH has an order for a miniature Grandfather clock to deliver...Kerching!!
Have a faberoony OS weekend!
Aril
PS I would rate Messrs Depp and Bloom as 11 out of 10. My blood pressure's rising just to think of them....best go and calm myself down with some washing up of the students' dirty mugs. That should ground me pdq!Aiming for a life of elegant frugality wearing a new-to-me silk shirt rather than one of hair!0 -

DGS has gone home, house looks like a tornado has been through it!! Not the cleaning type either
Showing my age there or does anyway else remember that ad where Mum was a tornado of cleaning with that product!!:rotfl: (Think it was ajax liquid ) For those that don't, imagine a turbo-charged moggins with microfibre cloths and stardrops!!:D
Anyway I digress. It's a fun day with my DGS, but my god almost threes are tiring, hard work! He loves coming to Nan's "'cos she plays all the time." Yeah right, then the moment you're out of the door she collapses!
Got a nice bottle of very dry white cooling in the 'fridge, so after dinner it's feet up and a glass or three! Thinking about it, perhaps I'd better put another one in, DH might fancy a glass!:o
Look forward to hearing about your days.

Hi, guys! First chance to post today. DS had his sports day - whole school split into 10 teams, DS was Togo. You then get points, and medals given for winning team. DS has perfect combination of natural athleticism (not from me) and killer competitive streak (I own up to that one
). He won obstacle, skipping and sack. His team came 2nd, so he came home with silver medal - very proud
.
Chipps - you shoul be so lucky it's only PP doubting the s€x of your DS. My DS's music report states he's "reliable in her attendance".
Catowen - go for it sista!
Queenie, how are the birds? Our babies went out into a corner pen with the big girls today. DH has built them a beautiful house, and they love it. DD has found they have a fondness for grapes, too. :j
Aril, sardine burgers sound delish. Bit more class than our "fish on toast" :rotfl:
Rzl, enjoy Albert Hall. I do miss the culture in the smoke. Children are now at the age where they enjoy it, though, so we have trips to London Town in the planning. Exciting news about your move! Best of luck! :T
Having barbie tonight, inviting people we really like, but don't know too well. Will be an interesting evening! Have made hummus for the first time in ages, and a strawberry cheesecake. So my cooking is now done, and DH is on duty. As I said to a friend, "I'm gently marinating from within!"
Have a fab Friday everyone, and (((((hugs))))) to you all. :A :A :A

Ooo - any tips as to what to look for?
Hi everyone. Very very lazy day today. Sat in front of the TV for most of it - good reason though. DS1 has bad stomach bug that came on night 'fore last and I've been running around cleaning up behind him, spraying everywhere with dettol! Done another 3 loads of towels today (2 loads of bedding yesterday) and ironed his bedding on highest possible setting. I've been getting the odd 'sign' that I may be coming down with it too - hence the lazy day today - I want to give myself the best chance of fighting it off.
He was so poorly this morning I rang NHS direct for some extra advice and apparently the info of 'starve a tummy bug in first 24 hours' is no longer recommended. A new one on me, so please do check it out yourself before following it - but thought it a good idea to pass on.
Should really have gone shopping today, but with DS so ill I didn't want to leave him alone that long. I think I'll reorganise my weekly schedule because I hate shopping on a w/e and leaving it until the friday doesn't give me any other alternative if anything crops up.
Oh - and my pea soup was rescued!!!! It's been a godsend today - guess it happened for a reason!
I'm sorry, I'm waffling again.
Bargain Rzl - if you get to read this when you are back I hope you had a nice time, and more importantly I hope it all works out for you with the flat.
Moggins - I hope your resolve is holding strong, and am thinking of poor Chloe
(((Smashing blouse))))
