Just a quickie, have gotta leave soon & really must do something with this birds nest of hair before I step out of the door!
Hugs to everyone feeling under the weather, especially Smashing Blouse.
Hopefully today will go quick, I've been invited for lunch by a client that I don't really like that much, but can't turn down. Still a free lunch is a free lunch & it will be my second this week!
OH has suggested a trip to the local pub for tea, they do an "early bird" cheapy special if you're in by 6, plus we get 20% off with our gym membership card (not sure we can do both deals at once tho ).

Just a quickie for me too, :D will come on again when DGS goes to bed. I've just given him his tea as DH won't get home until late. So I will have mine with DD. DGS was hungry now. He's been a good little boy today and had a nap this arv. Weather been awful. Drizzly and cold. We managed a short walk in between showers but was hoping to take him down to the beach area where there is a little playground. Weather forecast for rain all w'end. Typical.

Hope everyone is well & have a good day. Best go, he's grunting and having a serious expression on his face. :D Guess what's Granny going to find when I change his nappy.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Hello everyone!I'm back at w*** after two days off. What a shame as it is a gloriously beautiful day here. I can't skive too much, that would be taking the michael. Just wanted to say hello and wish everybody the best Friday they can possibly have.SnowyOwlPS: Moggins, maybe if you give the council a ring they might come back for your rubbish - well you never know! I hope there is some better news about Chloe today, poor little thing.

Morning :hello: ... oooh how exciting ... there was an ad in this morning's Metro for flats in a shared ownership development in Camberwell ... I've just phoned up and left a message ... the phrase "cat in hell's chance" springs to mind, but on the plus side, it's not a keyworker scheme and the borough I live in is one of those whose residents get priority, it's affordable enough to mean I'd potentially be able to buy it NOW, and the location is one I was considering anyway ... anyhow we shall see! ... The Proms start this evening so I have taken the afternoon off to get in the queue (a lot of people get there at lunchtime for the first night - it's always a great opportunity for the regulars to catch up with one another and drink wine in the sunshine ;):) ... If you happen to be watching the BBC2 broadcast this evening, I'll be in the first or second row of the arena on the "violins side" wearing a light blue top :D ... Chipps, good luck to your DS, which grade is he doing? I only got to Grade 4 in piano, it never interested me much TBH, but got to Grade 8 in singing when I was 17 and have been putting off going for my diploma ever since :o ... Made a fab chilli last night and will be having some of it for lunch with a brown bread roll ... Anyway am only in the office until 12:30ish, so better get moving on my w**k ... See you later ... Love Rzl xx

    Morning everyone :hello:

Not been around much this past few says - think blue-ar$ed fly and all for everyone else and you'll get the idea :D Also, was Mr TM's birthday yesterday, but both boys were at another little friend's party too.

Had to get up and ready early today cos the friend who usually takes DS1 to school rang to say her boys were ill. Mad rush to get ready but at least I went straight on to Tesco's so I'm all shopped out and most of it just needs putting away now. Got the boys some fab swimming trunks for 75p each - I was going to buy them anyway, so 2 pairs each :j

House is a tip but DS2 is at pre-school this aft so a couple of hours with a microfibre cloth and the vac should see a vast improvement. However, I have a stinking headache today, which is most unlike me. It's right behind my eyes so I may have to resort to wearing my specs today

Will also do a recycling centre run today too - have brought stuff from my mum's so can't move in the garage ATM. Got lots for the charity shop too, which I shall have to dispose of sooner rather than later.

Ok, it's a gorgeous day here so about to put some more washing on the line and another load in. DW needs un/repacking and BM needs to go on. Will have baked spuds for tea, unless there aren't any nice big ones in which case it will be shepherds pie. Also have to make some "business" related phone calls this afternoon, so best sort out my phone numbers and what I'm going to say ;)

Have a good day and ((hugs)) to everyone.

    TM xxx

Chipps, good luck to your DS, which grade is he doing?

Hi, it's grade 1 - his first ever exam! He was a bit nervous beforehand, but came out saying he might have done enough to pass, but he thinks it's a mark's difference between passing & failing!!!!! Well, he'll find out when he gets the result! Now he's gone to work so that should give him enough to do to stop worrying about it! Enjoy the 1st night.

Back again and feeling a little more awake now, must have been all the [strike]shouting[/strike] singing the kids were doing

Now to work through the thread :

    Queenie
    - Hope your Drs appointment goes okay.

    Chipps
    - hope your son does well on his exam today and good luck to him doing the run tomorrow.

PP - Well done on having bids already! I put 24 items on yesterday (and I have a few more to do, if I ever get around to getting them photographed etc) but nothing yet except for a watcher.

Manicdays - have a great time at the concert tomorrow. Thanks to you I'm going to have "Take on me" going around my head all day...mind you it's better than "Miss Polly had a dolly.." :rotfl:

twink - I didn't fall asleep in the show fortunately as I was filiming it again (tape ran out last time :o ) although in places its juddery as I got a terribly itchy face, then nose, then eye then ear . I think we need to look at getting a tripod for our camcorder :o

joannasmum - enjoy your holiday. :D

    Aussielass
    - I wonder what you will find  :rotfl: DD clenches her bottom when she grunts still except it's usually because she is concentrating, I just hope she grows out of it. I can just picture her standing there on her wedding day (if she ever gets married that is) grunting and clenching her bottom as she takes her vows :rotfl::rotfl:

Bargain Rzl - Enjoy the proms. :D

    Right....now thats done ;)

Had a really bad nights sleep last night. Went up around 11.20 after baking 3 loaves and a batch of buns all by hand  Seriously considering a breadmaker even more so now. Will have to have a look in the sale in Debenhams (got £15 worth of vouchers, and OH has another £15 and since he owes me £15 ;) ) etc or start looking on Freecycle again  OH was snoring and taking over the bed and then DD started coughing. She's not very well with this cough all of a sudden and there is something going around her class. Apparently 4 of them rang in sick this morning

I've been to the school and filmed the concert again. Same seat as last time as well ;) I see OH spending the night on the computer editing it again. Changed our appointment for parents evening to 5pm on Monday instead of 3.30 as OH wants to come along.

Also sorted out trying to get some photos for the school website I've done ( http://www.lawrencecpschool.co.uk ;)) and have emailed my contact at the school and given her my mobile number so she can get in touch when she's got some for me. Came home and edited a page on the website as a local author has given me permission to use a couple of pictures he had of the school not long after it had opened :D Gave the finance lady a heads up that I'll next be in school on Tuesday so I'd like to pick my cheque up then ;) Her desk looks like a bomb has gone off on it as there are papers everywhere and she needs all sorts of signatures for other things.

Kitchen is a bomb site as I didn't tidy up after baking last night. There is still flour & dough stuck to the worktop as I woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday so decided to stay in bed a little longer, then it dawned on me that it was Friday and I hadn't made the packlunches :o

I have to get on with things today. Bedrooms are clean, did them while putting DD to bed last night but downstairs is a bit dusty with me sifting flour ...ooopps. :D I've got ironing, washing and dishes to do as well. Should really move my bottom now.....

    Laters

WOOHOO! I've got an appointment to view the shared ownership flats I enquired about earlier :j :j :j ... I honestly believe this could be a great opportunity to buy a flat virtually NOW, affordably, and 15 mins by bike from my office ... oh blimey ... wish me luck people (it's not till next Thursday so plenty of time to do my homework on getting an IFA & solicitor who know about shared ownership!) ... Right, must finish my lunch and be off to the steps of the lovely Albert Hall :j :j :j
