POINTS & FINE for Mobile Phone use whilst driving
Comments
-
Driving using a mobile phone is the same as not wearing a seatbelt, if you get pulled and fined for not wearing a seat belt it still comes down to your word against the officer(s) if you decide to appeal it.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

But the statement you made makes out that you are qualified in quoting it when i fact you are not...you got pulled over because you either made an error in your driving that caused concern to the Police, you car looks unroadworthy,or because you may have been flagged up by the PNC because your car has a marker on it...
Norant. First name Ig? :rolleyes:0 -
Unbelievable. I have just told you why I get stopped most of the time. It's because I look young and drive an older car so they think (wrongly, on both counts) "no money, no insurance". On one occasion the copper was honest and said as much and I appreciated his honesty. Yet you seem intent on using your silly imagination to dream up reasons why I am being stopped, even though I'm in the best position to know the reasons and I have told you them.

Have you complained or taken steps to stop this from happening?0 -
You don't have to be black to know that black people are relatively more likely to be subjected to a Stop and Search and that this applies to black people driving cars also. The police keep statistics to prove that you know!
Statistics are interesting but aren't the be-all and end all. If the police stop a lot of black people, is this because the police are racist or because the police tend to stop more people in poor "inner city" or "council estate" type areas because this is where most crime takes place, and some of those areas have a high number of black residents? If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -

They can tell if you've got insurance without stopping you. Maybe you drive like a muppet!0 -
Actually Takoda, they can tell if the car has an insurance policy associated with it, but they cannot tell if the driver him/herself is insured. You do get people driving cars without being a "named driver" or having their own policy with "drive any car cover" you know. You're another fool that makes assumptions, not only about my driving style (which is obviously insulting and without merit) but also about what the police can and cannot establish from a computer check.0

You keep saying the police pull people over without a reason, and they keep pulling you over without a reason, yet you keep stating the reason
"It's because I look young and drive an older car so they think (wrongly, on both counts) "no money, no insurance".
Your the one assuming they think you have no insurance and wheter or not you have any money is irrelevant. You keep getting pulled because you look young, your also driving an older car which stats show older cars are generally chosen by joy riders thanks to the lack of immobilsers and the ease in which offenders can get into them.
If you have nothing to hide its not a real issue.
As for keep harping on about black people being pulled your making an assumption, I suppose its white officers pulling over black people yeah? I also bet you think black officers only pull over white people.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Unless I see a post on here directed at me from someone who I consider to be at least an intellectual equal, I will not be making any further comments.0
