  • I meant to say CG I was very impressed that all your CC debt was on 0%. I never managed that. Mine was at LOB rates, or something ridiculous until we BT. Well done on getting it all at O%.

Hope you enjoyed your evening and the flicks

  • Thanks WH, perhaps if they weren't 0% i'd have more incentive to clear them lol! Fingers crossed my BT luck continues i've got to do another one at end of Feb then thats me done for another year.

and so with the highs come the lows. After my lovely day yesterday, we never made it to pics Beanie- all started too late just had a few beers instead, today ive been to the gym (didnt get yesterday) mega workout! I may be fat but I am fit! Then me & OH have been to chase the bed up - turns out ive had a missed call and they've pre booked me a delivery slot for Friday!! Better get the existing one emptied and shifted and see if I can rejig my working days.

and the lows.... whilst we've been out OH has picked a nail up in his tyre - weve had to jack the car up and put the spare on and the nail is on the outside edge so unrepairable and he will need a new one £175!!!!!! He only had 4 new tyres on in December so he and I are both gutted. Just hoping hes not wrecked the wheel completely 'cos ive not idea how much that will cost! so to comiserate ive just had a bag of hula hoops why???? so diet not so good today

Good news, ive picked up another MS for March - book 'em early girls!

off to update my spreadsheet now cgx

  • I feel your pain with the tyre since that was happened to us last week but thankfully ours was repairable. Sounds like you are in the health/fitness/weight loss zone - go girl. I need to get motivated on that front (having just eaten cheese and crackers!!) but work/studying etc etc seems to be at the front of the queue.

Well done on picking up an MS. I've not been pursuing any extra income streams so that I can concentrate on studying. I do miss the extra income though it soon mounts up doesn't it and it would certainly go towards the guilt I am still feeling at the new telly.

  • thanks WH, it just seems 1 step forward 2 steps back at the moment. I now have a house full of wet washing 'cos dryer packed in last night! Can't afford to replace it so I'm hoping for windy weather cos its all jeans and towels!

OH has taken my car today 'cos his spare is only a space saver tyre - don't even know what that is but apparantly its bad that we've had to use it and he can't drive far on it - sounds like a mans invention that one - a spare tyre you cant drive on! so ive got to try & rearrange a MS ive got for today.

I do like MSing and yes, the extra £ soon mount up but they are quite time consuming and I don't think i will be as keen when I don't need the income. You need to keep your priorities in life and I think you've got yours right.

On the brightside with no car ive no excuse not to clean up - Flylady here I come :) and if I find my camera/pc wire I might even do some e-baying :)

Kids have gone to school thankfully, so I have the day to myself yay - small pleasres - you've got to get em where you can :) ttfn cgx

  • House is clean. I am knackered! Just having 5 minute & a cup of tea to recover.

Got to walk to shops to get bits for tea - contemplating using DS1 bike but
    a) would probably fall off
    b) mite not make it back up hill
    c) mite break it! will walk instead.

Cancelled todays MS no other dates but sneaked in 2 for Wednesday so thats good. Am at dentist Wed pm 2-30 (no joke!) for part 1 of treatment which is going to cost £300, (sighs acceptingly) at least I will be able to chew solids.

Didn't find camera wire - where has that gone??? but did find lots of e-bay items in DS2 bedroom - also known as 'the pit' -he he will have to get busy whilst he's out!

Washing is swaying gently in the breeze, still as wet as it was 5 hours ago but you can't blame me for trying.

right, enough lolling, just got time to get to shops before hungry hoards arrive home demanding food! ttfn cgx

  • So quite a good day today.

Did my MS this morning so another £6 in debt busting account :). 2nd job disappeared mysteriously

Been to dentist, and asked for a cheaper option he said part of treatment could wait 6 months when I should have enough in my health care plan. So only £180 today, ive got £80 dental benefit left this year so only £100 to find. This will have to partly come out of debt busting and xmas accounts.

OH got a new tyre fitted. We used an online service called ETYRES.co.uk and they were FAB! Much cheaper than Kwikfit, £120 for new tyre so thats £65 less than we expected. I would recomend them.

and finally, another couple have asked to share our Bulgaria ski transfers so thats £110! Yay! which will just about pay for tyre.

Just clawing my way to the end of the month now and pay day. OH asked if we could 'do something nice' this weekend which means spending, so ive told him hes got to clear out under the bed as the new one will be here next Wednesday. Don't think it went down too well lol!

off to make tea, soft comforting fish pie, anaesthetic wearing off now cgx

  • money money money... why can't i keep hold of it for more than 2 minutes.

So my 3rd disaster this month - da da daaahhhh DS2 'knocked' the fish tank and cracked it. - suggested autoglass but dont think they mend fish tanks lol! anyway, its been OK but got up yesterday and the crack went the entire length of the tank and drops of water on outside of glass. So before I went to work I had to empty fish tank & find a suitable recepticle for fish, whilst I was doing this DS1 smashed a glass oil bottle so had to sort that mess out too slicing my finger end in the process!

Got home to a very upset DS2 yesterday 'my fish is dying!!!!' etc etc so OH took him to pet shop and bought another tank - I wanted to 'donate' him to a neighbours pond. Only £24 but yet more money to fork out this month which I haven't got.

Finally, I cannot cope with wet washing on every surface. My family is too big and too dirty to manage without Ive had to take a load of jeans pants & socks to MIL tonight, and I now view a new dryer as an essential item. So i'm taking money out of debt busting fund and will be buying one this weekend.

So an expensive start to 2010 with no end in sight just yet, grrrr cgx

Bad luck CG these things seem to come in three's don't they. I must say I don't own a tumble drier and when I did (2nd hand one) I didn't really use it. I must be odd. Mind you I do get fed up of the house lookingi like a laundry in the winter.

I hope the fish is ok. The tank doesn't seem too expensive but you could do without the extra expense I guess.

  • Thanks guys, feeling better today. Fish (Eric!) seems v happy in his new tank and OH and DS2 have promised they will contribute more to the cleaning etc.:D OH has emptied under his half of the bed so only mine to do now. New bed comes Wednesday - Old one 1s 14 yrs old so doesnt owe us anything but final straw was DS1 broke the base just before xmas doing wrestling moves on his dad! Hence the new one!

Been to gym today, managed a 2k run - nearly killed me! I am trying to build up to 5k but think my head will explode!

I've sold another book on Amazon and listed several more and best news is I have found camera/PC lead yay! so ebay here I come!:j
Hope you all have productive weeks! nearly payday  cgx
