Thanks WH, had the quote for laminate and carpet and fitting £900 - so not so bad after all, I will be able to clear that in a couple of months just need a date to fit it.

Ive come to accept that the finances are what they are, the house couldn't wait any longer we've only the kitchen to do then its all our own decorating at last!

BAd news is allotment has fallen through - thought it sounded too good to be true - apparantly FIL spoke to vicar who said they had plans for ground and they were re-claiming space in September - I could have it till then but thats no good 'cos it was the overwinter veg I wanted to get in, so I will just stay content with my garden which is now in full bloom :) the mangetout are in flower and weve had 2 lovely strawberries - mm half a one each lol!

Other bad news is I think ive cracked a tooth! Im still having treatment from xmas for the dodgy crown he fitted, long story but because of the bad fit it set the tooth behind off and ive had to have a root canal on that one too, so neither tooth has been crowned yet 'cos they cant fit me in & both have temporary dressing and I heard/felt a crack at tea time and now its hurting so im going to have to try and see him on Monday. I don't want to be toothless by 45! so hope he can save it.

Good news is im still off the chocolate (just turned my attention to ice-cream!) and have 2 food MS tomorrow so can get my cupboards restocked. Cant believe we are nearly half way through the year! Is it me or is time speeding up? TTFN cgx

Tooth is defo broken so off to dentist tomorrow, think it will need pulling :(

OH has finally fitted lights and switches in hall, carpet is now on order and all should be done in 10 - 14 days then I get my house back! Just in time for family sunday on 4th July hurrah! All old fittings and lights are in the car booty box - very MSE

Well what a pleasant surprise - tooth not broken its just the temporary filling thats cracked so ive now got a new filling but still have my tooth for which I am very grateful :)

Spent all morning doing 'jobs' which included a trip to the library so we all now have a new book to read and I have about 15 on order! so better read 'em quick! Came home from dentist and have made 6 raisin scones 6 dark choc and cherry scones and 2 coconut loaves! so tummies and freezer will be full for a while longer and i'm taking one of the coconut loaves into work tomorrow.

Still not posted anything on ebay (will try for Wednesday) but car booty boxes are filling up nicely :) cgx

Great news on the tooth. Not so good news on the plot though. You made me laugh with the spuds. I wish I had the time/energy to get gardening. Its all I can do to plant out the pots and tbh this year they are pretty dull of far.

tooth tooth go away! Owwwcchhhh. Yes the saga continues - it isn't hurting - no root thankfully but its defo not right and I think im developing an absys now. Its rubbish, I am totally sick of the dentist. I used to be frightened as a kid but as an adult have been OK but Im starting to get that 'oh no the dentist' feeling again. It might be better all round if it were pulled - lets just say dentures seem quite attractive at them moment.

Come on guys get in your gardens!!! Im having so much fun - pulled up a garlic tonight just to see if they were bulbing and yes they are woop woop! don't know what to do with it now tho' will use it up tomorrow - believe me, i'm no expert gardener I just like planting seeds, seeing what grows and eating it!

Quidco is now showing as £63.90 to pay on 1st July, Amazon owes me £1.81 and I have about £55 in MS's to come so things are looking up :T

I made £85 at carboot so pleased with that, all gone now tho' kids claimed £10 each - well it was mostly there stuff I was selling so only fair, £15 went in school dinner/busfare pot, £6 in my £2 tin, £20 taking OH to pics for fathers day treat (Robin Hood - v good!) and £10 each to me and OH for this week. Oh well, easy come easy goat least ive cleared a bit of space :p

Quick tooth update - it was an abscess so I am now on antibiotics - & have been warned no alcohol or it will make me sick! I go back on Friday - hopefully it will be ok & he can finish treatment.

So, decorating is done at last, carpet & laminate goes down Wednesday I need to find £135 to pay laminate fitter - I will write him a cheque cos OH gets paid either Friday or Monday and hope it won't clear till then - talk about cutting it fine!

Ive not been able to clear everything this month and carpets still need paying for so I am toying with idea of one final BT to OH virgin card (0% till Feb 11). It would be around £30 interest but will take the pressure off and free up some cash to pay to Asda 2 which runs out in Sept. I should just call them Peter and Paul really shouldn't I? More I think about this more it feels like a good idea.

So on that happy note I bid thee farewell! I am off to do some BTing! cgx

well I did it. Xfrd £1k to OH virgin card 0% to Jan 11, but the £30 charges are less than the interest I would pay so i'm OK with that.

Very relieved the with the budget OH will get a pay freeze but we can live with that :)

Sold a book on GM tonight so need to find it now to post off lol! Carpets coming tomorrow hurrah! cgx
