It does to good to 'talk' abou it all. I have every sympathy with the OF@ front. I've been doing lots and lots of stuff and I certainly feel better in myself - although I've not been near the scales yet.

I have every sympathy with your issues with your OH. We had a discussion on Friday ref how much OH spends on his cricket during the summer. He doesn't feel any guilt about the extra £30ish pw that playing cricket demands. Don't get me wrong I think its excellent he plays and its sets a great role model for DS's but its not cheap. Likewise on the car front - what can I mine is just the same I'm expecting chuntering about him changing his car later in the year!

Well done on staying within budget. We're going to struggle this month I think on food rather than petrol for a change.

Great to have a moan to get rid of it all and move on. Here's to the second half of this month OF@:)

Thanks WH, Feeling a bit better now :) Just been for a meal for MIL birthday and FIL paid the bill so that was lovely of them :)

Feeling mch more optimistic, the end of May is in sight bringing us closer to June and then the holidays so OF@ has still got plenty of time to lose that stone+!

Thanks for asking WH, yes i'm fine, just been clawing my way to payday with nothing much to report:)

OH finally got paid today& I get paid Friday hurrah :j so feeling much more cheerful now ive some cash in my purse!.

So, i've not posted because i'm ashamed.:( We've been on a spending frenzy in May, 2 new suits for OH, hoody for DS1, BBQ, booked accomodation for nephews wedding in August and You me at six tickets for DS1's 16th in December and now the cold hard truth has arrived in the form of the visa bill! £638 of reckless spending plus we have booked for the hall stairs and landing decorated in June £440 so thats £1100 to find in june!

Good news is we stuck to the cash food and petrol budgets in May lol:rotfl:
so ive got most of the money but am still £160 short so will try to make that shortfall up.

Ive picked up 4 MS in June and have sorted out lots of ebay stuff so im hopeful I will be able to pay the lot off before we move into July. Still more to spend tho. We want to buy laminate for the hall and DS1 needs all new summer clothing as he has grown yet again and last years don't fit at all - primani here we come lol! :D

I'm not going to stress too much about this lot. So long as things are getting paid and im still meeting the minimum payments on everything else the debt is still reducing slowly. These are things we want/need and make for a happy home. After the summer I will be back on the DFW bandwaggon :A

As for OF@, ive had a bit of a turning point. After yet another migraine last Friday which co-incided with a sneaky mars bar ive decided actually chocolate does seem to be a trigger for me - so ive not had any since Friday:eek: i'm still gyming/swimming 3/4 times per week so am hoping the weight will finally start to come off.

Now you wish you'd not asked me to post lol!, I have been reading your diary, and sympathise with OH expenses situation. We are in a similar boat I just tend to 'swallow' the expenses each month and then pay them off the debt when they arrive back. ttfn cgx

Glad to hear all is well.

You can't beat yourself up about the spending. Sometimes these things need to happen and tbh clothes for kids is one thing you can't avoid buying really. My OH tends to bulk shop. He spent £200+ in Jan in one shop (and yes it all fitted, suited him and looked fab - it wouldn't have been the case with me!!). At least you are paying the extra spending off not just ignoring it as we've been guilty of in the past. We won't be too far behind you since we need to buy a new PC. I spent all last night trying to get piccies from my email to an SD card via the laptop! If our PC had of been working it would have taken seconds. We won't be able to pay it off immediately but at least the new PC will be a 0%.

My OF@ is slowing. I'm still doing lots of exercise but eating for England so I feel fatter than ever. It will even out I guess.

Have you made a decision about your job yet?

I know its terrible - exercise gives you an appetite! at least you will be more toned and healthy ;0 A couple of people at work have lost weight and it really shows so that is spurring me on at the minute, i've still not had any chocolate - had a solero tonight tho' lovely! I will post my May OF@ results on Tuesday when I get weighed :)

I had decided to take severance but work has postponed the scheme due to union representations! I am sure they will re launch it at some point but will have to see if I am still eligible and what new pay out will be. I am still hoping I can take it.

Good news £54.65 has now cleared in Quidco to be paid in June - so thats £44 more than I was expecting.

When are you going away? Its only 8 weeks for us! plenty of time to lose that stone+! cgx

So, yesterdays gale force winds blew the felt off the shed roof and broke a fence panel, so OH has had a 'manly' day today doing 'mans work' whilst I have been little woman, holding ladders and fetching, carrying and providing food & tea! Only cost £12 for felt so thats come out of cashflow so all good.

In a moments madness I decided to 'prune' the shrubs in the front garden, 6 hours later here I am! Shattered! In fairness I made a right mess and the pruning turned into a dig it all out session -under OHs insistance and with his assistance of course, and ive managed to get it all planted with stuff my folks had donated it does look better but has taken some doing.

We really stuck to the reduced food and cash budgets last month - despite mad spending spree on other items - enough said, and I am trying for the same this month. I am keeping a micro diary of what we spend our cash on as OH is always moaning where does it all go and tbh nothing is jumping out - its just day to day stuff, but I will keep monitoring it and let you know if something jumps out!

Too late for a bath now so quick shower and off to bed :) nighty night cgx

happy June! OF@ update I lost 5lb in May :)

Going for the other 9lb in June - can't believe we are nearly half way through the year already!

DS's had a mega clear out yesterday and got 3 bin bags full of car booty with a couple of e-bay items thrown in too, so I am now looking for a local car boot, there is one on 20 June but its fathers day so don't know whether to do it yet, and i've got some serious e-baying to do. This is a priority for June and I want to do the e-baying before the car boot so anything that doesn't sell can go to the boot sale.

Plus I have 3 nice MS's for June - all food shopping - so that should help keep me within budget

I'm sending good June vibes to everyone who needs them, ttfn cgx
