Daughter is doing a stew with beef, carton of chopped tomatoes that Tesco paid me to take away, onion, potatoes and some fresh cherry tomatoes, smelling good0

A couple of turkey legs minus the ankles which I had to chop off to fit in the cooker, some herbs and smoked paprika. Whoops at 77p each. Will take the meat off when cooked and use for whatever comes to mind.0

Well I've got an experiment in today.
I've browned off 4 chicken thighs with a diced onion, some garlic and olive oil. I've chucked it in the SC with a left over glass of red wine, a boquet garni, and a tesco pack of chopped toms with basil (bought when the glitch was on, I have at least 20!).
Hopefully it will be a sucess, I need some more ideas to use up the tomatoes and basil!
Not sure what I will serve it with, could be potato wedges, rice or cous cous! I'll see where the mood takes me later!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

i'd put them in the sc with an inch of cider or apple juice, chopped onion and essentially braze them. then serve with mash and gravy made up with the liquid from cooking. if they are medium size they shouldnt take too long, maybe 1 on high then 4 hours on low. if you cook them too long and they fall apart you've always got gammon soup!
or you could add a bit more liquid, soaked dried peas and carrot ect and fish out the meat and big veg then you have pea & ham soup left over for tomorow or the freezer.:)Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23.
