In my slow cooker today.... part 2

Today in my SC I made...........falafel, and believe it or not, they came out really well. In fact it was the first time I managed to achieve nice falafel - previous attempts involving shallow frying or the oven have always resulted in disintegrated or soggy specimens. These were great! Even though I didn't quite believe it would work when I started. I will definitely be making them again.
Now that you`ve posted that you really need to post the recipe

Sure! You will need following ingredients:
one (14 oz) tin of chickpeas (or equivalent cooked from dried ones, as I used)
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 tbsp dried parsley - or some chopped fresh
1/2 onion - chopped
2 garlic cloves - chopped
1 egg (large)
lemon juice - of 3/4 lemon approx, or to taste
salt and freshly ground black pepper
fresh breadcrumbs
olive oil
In a food processor, combine ingredients from cumin through to salt & pepper and whizz till combined.
Put the drained chickpeas in a separate bowl and see if you can mash them with a potato masher or a fork. Mine were not so soft because home-cooked, so instead I added them to the liquid in the food processor and pulsed a few times to get a somewhat coarse texture. (If the fork-mashing works, do that, and then add the liquid from the food processor and combine).
Next, add breadcrumbs bit by bit until you have a texture that sticks together but can be formed into balls. I used crumbs from 1 thick slice of wholemeal bread.
Oil the bottom of your SC by pouring in 2 tbsp of olive oil. I used my 6l SC, but the recipe was for a 4l one, so don't hesitate if you haven't got a big one. Form balls of the mixture, flatten them a bit, and place them on the bottom of the SC - it is fine if they overlap or end up on top of each other. I sprayed some olive oil cooking spray over the top of the falafels (easier than turning them over in the oil, as they are quite delicate). Then, cook them! The recipe specified cooking them on high for about 3.5 hours - my SC cooks quite fast so I did them on low for 4 hours and they were perfect. They really do go brown! I turned them over near the end, but that was not necessary. The texture was perfect, and so was the taste. Serve with garlicky yoghurt, pita bread, lettuce, tomato etc."Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
Rice pudding. Never made it at all let alone in the SC. There seems to me waaaaaaaay too much liquid for the tiny amount of rice so not expecting it to work but we will see.

I`ve only ever cooked sausages in the sc in a recipe never on their own.
I made a sausage casserole type thingy off the back of a packet of OOD spice mix that i found at the back of the cupboard.
From memory it was something like a tin of tomatoes, a tin of beans, the sausages, onions, carrots and spice mix with water. Think i put worcester sauce in too. There will be loads of sausage casserole recipes knocking about methinx.

I left them on all day on low, didn`t brown them just threw them in raw
Nearest guesstimate would be around 9 hours.
Good luck, i`m sure it will turn out nice.
