Pork and butternut squash casserole. Added some garlic, chilli and fresh ginger and it was yummy. I was quite pleased, as I haven't done a pork recipe in it before, and it worked really well. :)

    Thank you Poppycracker and Denise.
Another question, excuse me for not knowing... But can you treat this the same as cooked food from the oven. Ie reheat and can you also freeze portions. Im cooking some pork chops with lots of veg and normally I would only do enough for 2 meals (I live on my own and an frequently out at friends etc) but I had loads of pork chops stuck together that I forgot to portion up. So im cooking the whole lot in the slow cooker tonight for tomorrows dinner, but as im now not in Monday evening I will have too much and want to freeze into separate portions. Ive never used a slow cooker before!! And how long would you have the slow cooker on for for the pork chops and veg?
  • Just done my first slow cooker recipe, BBQ pulled pork.

Omg it is so tender! I wasn't sure on timings so I thought 8 hours on low but snuck a peak at 6 hours and it was done :)

Now on keep warm whilst I do the wedges and corn on the cob to go with it.

I think tomorrow will be a slow cooker day as well after these results!

One of Tesco mini pork shouldar joints, sat it on it's skin to try and protect the meat as much as possible

Chicken thighs with chestnut mushrooms, onions, sliced potatoes, tin of chopped tomatoes, stock, hot paprika, herbs & garlic and some chorizo to pop in when we get home from the pub to give it a smoky flavour.

Tomorrow will be diced beef, onions, mushrooms, diced potatoes in stock for a pie filling.

It's a slimming world recipe. Found it on the fb page, from someone's blog.

I've tried a few of her recipes, and all really tasty.
