Bread and butter pudding. Don't tell anyone, but I found some sealed single slice packs of Soreen fruit loaf with a bbe of 28th Feb (2013 I THINK..) when I tidied my Approved Foods stash... Two slices had gone manky, but the rest seemed fine....
Waste not want not huh?.
I for one would eat it, as long as not manky, regardless of year :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi im new to slow cooking and I have Economy 7 heating. Would it be ok to cook the food in the slow cooker overnight using the cheap electric and then reheating it in the evening. Is it safe and has any done this?0

A whole chicken, sitting on carrots, celery and onions.
I love the way chicken keeps so moist in the S/C but do prefer to pop in in the oven for 10 mins or so when the roasties are nearly done so that the chicken skin crisps up a bit.
I must investigate more pudding recipes for the S/C - I only ever seem to do casseroles or soups/stocks.:o:j[DFW Nerd club #1142 Proud to be dealing with my debt:TDMP start date April 2012. Amount £21862:eek:April 2013 = £20414:T April 2014 = £11000 :TApril 2015 = £9500 :T April 2016 = £7200:T

Fine to cook overnight using your cheap electric. Make sure you take it out of the pot and cool quickly before storing in the fridge. Reheat thoroughly on the hob, microwave or oven.
