Beef curry from yellow stickered beef and a jar of curry sauce, enough for OH and me tonight and another double portion for freezer. Might drag out the small s.c. and make a coconut rice pudding with some AP dried coconut milk, last one was yummy, and it is surely comfort food weather! The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I am using mine as a Bain Marie and cooking Coffee Creme Caramel in the wellbake silicone loaf tin as stated earlier.
I probably should have waited for the caramel to harden but....
It's from the Michel Roux Deserts book. trust me to do a Coffee desert for First Desert.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Yesterday I risked doing chicken in the s/c having read loads on here about it (I was concerned that it wouldn't get hot enough to cook properly) I put it on before going to work at 5am & took it off when I got home at nearly 5pm. It was cooked quite a bit longer than you guys recomend(12 hours:eek: ), but there was no other way. I came in to an aroma almost as good as a normally cooked chicken, I love to eat the skin so after picking the bones out, & pulling the meat to bits I chucked the skin in the friing pan for a few moments to crisp up & snaffled that strait down while I decided what to do with ALL the bucket loads of meat. I used the juices & alot of the 'lesser quality' meat with a tin of carrots & a couple of handfulls of sweet corn to make a chicken broth. (will put some garlic in next time as it was a bit bland) Then today I've used some of the chicken in a stir fry. Still got loads of chicken left. I'll nibble on the rest of the meat & probably give some to the dog. (I'ts just me & the dog & I can't eat all this meat by myself.) I've never had so much meat off one small chicken. & it was as jucy as one done in an oven. I'll definatly be doing chicken again like this. It's better to be late in this world than early in the next! :A0

Cheese Sauce for Cauliflower cheese for a cauliflower that is looking as if it has seen better days.
My technique: whizz eqaul quantities of flour and butter. Melt butter then add 300ml of milk quickly whizz in blender till smooth. Plonk in large bowl in slow cooker preheated use whisk thing to whizz till sauce comes together. Season carefully as you want sweet savoury sauce.
Adding cheese later then cooking cauliflower briefly in micro then wacking in oven to do final cooking et voila!#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
