  • I've got the mince part of a lovely shepherds pie cooking, smells lovely! :D
  • My own take on Simon Rimmer's pulled beef (saw it on Sunday Brunch a few weeks ago). Honey and BBQ marinade, a little bit of stock, and a whoopsied beef joint that's been in the freezer for far too long so needs some good long cooking. Smells good at least, who knows what it will taste like.

Mixed lentil curry - made with onion, garlic, ginger, passatta and some random spices (tried to adapt a lentil soup recipe!). No idea what it'll be like but hopefully edible :-)

    Rice pudding here too.
  • Just reporting back, the Pulled Beef was delicious. Would use more stock next time as it made a lovely gravy-like sauce with the marinade and BBQ sauce. Very easy to do as well, and got 3 meals for 2 greedy people out of it.

I cooked a whole chicken Thursday and then used it to make a big batch of curry which fed us for one meal then portioned it up in the freezer.
Made a beef and veg stew yesterday which makes loads and freezes well and today I'm going to make a sausage casserole and going to try sweet pots in it as have some to use up and guess it will make it more filling.:)
