Did a lentil stew in mine based on a recipe I saw online and was so impressed with the results I thought I must post recipe so here goes i quickly fried 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped carrots, 2 sticks celerey chopped (and half a green pepper cos it was in the fridge). then added 1 small inch ginger crushed and 2 cloves garlic crushed. I fried for abt 5 mins just until garlic was cooked. then i added to sc with 1 cup lentils, 1 can chickpeas, 1 can chopped tomato, 1 can water, 1 stock cube, handful (abt 8) of quartered chestnut mushrooms, pinch of chilli flakes, larger pinch pepper, 2tbsp soy, 1tbsp honey, 1 tbsp mustard (i used piri piri cos i couldnt find the mustard), cook on high 4 hrs... i added a bag of spinach right near the end and it tasted ever so nice with some lovely crusty bread..... im sure u could add all sorts of ingredients to it.... like crumbled feta, chicken pcs, sausages..... just to name a few so give it a go...0

wots happening sc fanatics? no msgz on this thread?????
i've got spicy pork curry in mine again: im not sure if i posted recipe before but here goes: i had cubed pork shoulder and to it i added lots of chopped fresh tomatoes, 3 tbsp curry powder (i used a shaan curry powder from a box), few cloves garlic crushed, dash of soy sauce, dash of lemon juice, large pinch pepper, larger pinch chilli powder or slice few green chillies, 2 tbsp yoghurt, a tbsp olive oil and a tsp of salt (as my shaan mix didn’t have salt added but pls check your curry powder before adding salt). i sliced some red onions into thin rings and quickly fried it with a small star anise, couple of cloves and a cinnamon stick and a few curry leaves. i bunged all this into the sc with the pork and tomato marinade and added the tiniest bit of water (the tomato and pork will give out loadsa water anyways) and i’ve left it on slow all day. hubby said he's check on it to make sure it doesn’t burn ..... im sure it will be fine. i will serve this over couscous later and add chopped coriander and spring onions to garnish.0 -
My sc has been a life saver the last few days. I am starting to get well enough to go back to work for a few hours a day.
The last two days I have made chicken noodle soup and chicken and bacon chasseur in it. Both lovely to come home to.
I need to prepare it again tonight for tomorrow, I was thinking about a sausage casserole?£36/£240

Yes, I don't like the fat that comes out if I don't. Plus they look like Mr Bean on holiday they end up that white. :rotfl:
I'll add a tin of tomatoes, a tin of beans and onions and peppers. A pinch of chilli powder. I'll make some home made garlic bread to go with it. That way they can help themselves and I have a hot meal to come home to.
I've decided now, that is the plan. :j
I'm going to make some pizza bases to freeze for next week as well.£36/£240

We had a v MSE slow cooker meal last night. It was pork joint (Morrisons on offer last week) which was rested on on the turn apples in half and onions. Instead of cider I used apple juice and a bit of water and it was on for 10 hours. It fell apart but was lovely.Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140
