In my slow cooker today.... part 2

I had mine on all day yesterday. I'd done an online shop with Mr A on monday, and they had some pork on offer, but it wasn't available, so I ended up with a pack twice the size for the same price!!!
I'd also cheated and ordered a veg stewpack. I just chucked some seasoning in the bottom, then put the meat and veg in, without browning. Bit of water from kettle and by the time we got home last night the house smelt lovely!
I added some gravy granules to thicken for a while and by the time the kids were in bed, it was good to go!Bossymoo

Hmmm, promised myself that I will bother with a proper meal today rather a quick sandwich so may do a sausage casserole, no fresh veg in the fridge, so may use frozen and some potatoes add gravy(and the sausages of course:))unless I go for some chicken pieces(then I don't have to even brown the meat)
And I think it is time to have a proper breakfast...when I start the day...Fruit Juice, cereal milk and fruit, toast, tea/coffee. Possible, a yogurt later in the day.
How easy is that:D
I do love my Slow Cooker, the years I could have used one and never thought of buying one."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Sounds lovely. Does the bacon go in raw? Do you blitz it? Am still experimenting with lentils as they seem to stick sometimes.
Having quite good results with whole manner of different types of beans to bulk out meat curries, more economical, healhy and tasty, am impressed!

Yes I just chopped it with scissors over the slow cooker, I never brown meat for the slow cooker except for sausages. Soup is bubbling away nicely, I have just done a quick stir and taste and it's lovely :j0 -
