Lamb breast was a disaster. I forgot I didn't like lamb fat ....... and it was very fatty :-( ..... ah well, live and learn ...

Will have to do a turkey curry of some description at some point as got 2 lots of turkey in the freezer now.

Beef massaman curry tomorrow in the SC, with a sauce which has been in the cupboard for ages. Might put some potatoes in as well.

Just bought some oxtail from the supermarket on a whim, guess I can just braise it in the SC like I would any beef, in a rich gravy, then serve with mash & veg. Do I put it in whole?

Sausage casserole made from 6 chopped up sausages, 3 handfuls of pasta, a can of chopped tomatoes, a jar of pasta sauce, 2 chopped onions and 5 grated carrots, a spoonful of red pesto and salt/pepper/herbs

    Costings:

    6 sausages- 1.25 (24 for £5 in Mr T)
    3 handfuls of pasta- 0.20
    chopped toms- 0.33
    pasta sauce- 0.95
    2 onions- 0.20
    5 carrots- 0.15
    pesto- 0.17
    salt/pepper/herbs- 0.20

    = 3.45

I think I've got 3 large portions so £1.15 per portion

I'm using mine for the first time today. I've got a gammon joint and just put it in on it's own, and i'll give it to 5pm to see how it is. Hopefully it will work!!

It will be delicious. Only problem is it gets so tender it falls apart at times. Not that it tastes any different. I find using an electric knife is easier on it.

Shoulder or pork (Mr T's special offer). To be served with salad, garlic bread (M & S reduced to 10p each!) and roasted butternut squash.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
