If it was the same as me, it was actually scanning for £0.00 at Tesco's! It was over in the 1p find at Tesco thread on the Grabbit board. That was on the 10th, not sure if it is still that price but worth a go if you going there. So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
Hope sharing saves some pain.0 -
Sausages and red cabbage were lovely - I am definitely cooking red cabbage like that again as it was totally pain free and didn't take ages in the oven.
Me too Claregre, how do you do the red cabbage
In my SC, Lambs hearts stuffed with sage and onion mix, mash and veg to go with this.0 -
Onions, carrots, leeks, mushrooms, stewing steak and a jar of beef in ale sauce. My 6.5l cooker is 3/4 full! Seems huge but sure it will reduce when all the veg softens, this will feed me and OH and hopefully lots leftover for freezer :j0

3 good sized Sweet Potatos peeled and sliced into 1" slices, a couple of carrots, and 6 stuffed and rolled pork belly slices in a maple syrup glaze. I've poured the juices in on top and will give it about 5 hours on high, then take out the pork and flash it in the oven. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

No probs, not sure where I got this from (might have even been from a forum on here!) but here goes ...
One red cabbage (mine was medium size), one sliced onion, one chopped apple (I just used a braeburn), tablespoon cider vinegar, teaspoon sugar, 2 tablespoons water, bit of butter.
I put twice the amount of vinegar and water in and a bit more sugar as I am paranoid about not having enough liquid in there. Left it for probably about 8 hours while we were at work.
HTH!0 -
Yum also for the chicken drumsticks! Was quite tasty considering it had next to nothing in it. Veg was a bit mushy though after 8 hours, should have done the carrots a bit thicker and the leeks a LOT thicker as they just disappeared!
Chicken cooked fine. I need to have more faith!
Planning sweet potato curry probably for next week.0 -

Ooooh! How are you doing those? !!
Has anybody cooked chicken wings in the SC? Quite fancy it but worried that the skin won't go crispy.0 -
Yesterdays beef in the curry was so tender so much better than trying to do it on the hob. Today I have chucked all my usual bolognaise ingredients in the sc and it has been on low for about 4 hours so far and looks and smells lovely.. Will be having it later with plenty left to portion and freeze.
Day off for Sc tomorrow and saturday then back on with a beef stew on sunday.Christmas 2020 £109

Hi All - sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. Got a slow cooker for a wedding present but not sure where to start - is there a list/website of recipes? I'm not a confident cook at all, and so want a recipe rather than just chucking ingrediants in. Thank you :beer:Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93
