I was bought a slow cooker for my birthday last week. I tried it for the first time on Sunday to make a Thai massaman curry, but it didn't turn out great so I need more practice!
Today I'm trying a Quorn and bean casserole (my housemate is a veggie and I could do with a few meat free days a week!) so am hoping it turns out better than my first attempt!
I only have a small slow cooker (it's a 1.8 litre) and haven't managed to find any dedicated recipes for a small one apart from the little booklet that came with it. Don't suppose anyone knows of anywhere I could get some recipes for 2 people recipes do they? However much I try to change the quantities of things in recipes I always seem to get it wrong!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -

Lamb neck and garden-grown vege stew with lentils in mine. It's my first attempt at cooking something other than mince and veges in the slow cooker, but it certainly smells good, at least. I've only had a SC for a couple of weeks, and seriously, it's the best invention EVER:) All I have to do is get up, chuck the prefrozen veges in, add the meat I've set to defrost in the fridge the day before, throw some stock over it, and head off to work.0

Beef curry in mine today.. I am also newly converted to the SC and so far have successfully done Beef stew, Pork, pepper and paprika combo and a coq au vin. Hoping to try a bolognaise sauce tomorrow if anyone has any good tips?Christmas 2020 £109

Chicken drumsticks, leeks, carrots, potato, bit of red onion, pearl barley, 300ml chicken stock, parsley, tomato puree.
Fingers crossed. Very nervous about the chicken!
OH will give it a stir when he gets in and probably add some other stuff to it. I'll be happy just so long as my chicken cooks!!
Oh, and never had pearl barley before!
Sausages and red cabbage were lovely - I am definitely cooking red cabbage like that again as it was totally pain free and didn't take ages in the oven.0 -
