I have nothing in mine as trying to eat out of the freezer
.
Will be making some soup later but it comes out better on the stove top.
In fact, I'm going on holiday in 9 days and, having meal planned, I think it only be used once before I go, and not for very long - doing an Xmas curry with leftover pheasant and lamb during the weekA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi All - I have my chicken carcass in my slow cooker to make chicken soup and have now got rid of the carcass and left with the rest. Loads of chicken has come off the carcass (surprised how much I would normally have thrown away!!) and have added potatoes, carrots, mixed herbs, salt and pepper (chicken to add before serving). My question is this: the soup is very watery and even though I have blended is down to a sort of pulp/lumps what can I do to make it more, well, appealing? I know my kids will take one look at that and say 'yuk' - which I can't blame them as it looks like something from Dickens times (even tho it is flavourful)
Any advice/help would be greatly received - thank you very muchWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

I had a chicken curry in mine ( yesterday !) Bit thrown together, diced chicken breasts, half a jar of korma sauce, onions and water. Then decided it needed padding out so tipped in a tin of green lentils and sliced a few pots. add the end I dolloped in some left over cream and voila ! went down a treat !

You can add more potatoes and then blend, also more carrots then blending would make it more of a warming colour. Cornflour mixed with a little water would thicken it too.
