In my new slow cooker for 10 hours. Was OK, still felt something missing flavour-wise.

They sound like lots of good flavours. The only thing that comes to mind as a possible addition is a bit of celery? (I freeze odds & ends of celery for occasions like this).Miggy

Some sort of beef stew with all the interesting additions I can find.
I think this is the first time in my life I've ever made a beef stew! I normally don't cook beef, this is a treat for DH.Miggy

I stuck in a shoulder of pork with veg yesterday - pulled the pork from the shoulder for bbq sandwiches which I enjoyed, not overly sure the hubby enjoyed it and then used the leftovers for a hearty soup for today. First time using the slow cooker and I was very impressedNovember £5 a day challenge: £223.16/£150
December £10 a day challenge: £279.00/£310
Started comping too - no luck yet!

My last Slow Cooker would be cooking for 12 hours as away from home that long. 10 hrs was a guess and turned out ok.

Sort of Thai chicken soup, made with hm stock, reduced basil & coriander (a little left to sprinkle on top), ginger, garlic, leek and the remnants of a pasatta carton and stir fry pack. Unfortunately I've just eaten the left over chicken which was going to go in itA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
