Hi everyone
Chicken thighs, carrots, onions, stock....whatever else I find in the cupboard... Serving with cous cous or rice.

Brisket joint, potatoes, onions and a bottle of christmas ale
Will serve with cabbage and yorkshires - OH keeps asking if it's ready yet :rotfl:
EDIT: Too many onions - it all just tasted of onion to me
OH said he liked it though and reckoned it's my cold affecting my taste buds0 -
Steak and mushroom pudding......with suet crust yummyHello Payday! How are. . Hey where are you going? . . Please don't walk out on me.
. Come back!0 -
Did a bucket load of chicken wings for the dogs today (yesterday?
) Lots of lovely meat for them for the rest of the week :T
Think OH might be right about my cold as I tried a little of the chicken and it just tasted like carrot to me - despite there only being a few in the potStill - the dogs'll like them :rotfl:
Gammon/Ham for tomorrow (today?) Just hope it lasts longer than the last one

I've got some chicken thighs and drumsticks that I need to cook up. I am a slow cooker novice, could anyone help with how much liquid I should put in for about 10 small pieces of chicken?
Thanks0 -
I am experimenting with one of those big cheap turkey legs today, have stuck in some carrots onions some chicken stock and then placed the turkey drumstick on top with a sprinkle of garlic. No idea what it will turn out like but hoping the meat comes off the bone so maybe add a little curry powder?0

OK, complete experiment. If it's horrible might have to use the back-up Gammon for dinner instead.
Anyway, I've put
4 pork loin steaks (browned first)
a sprinkling of garlic granules
a sprinkling of onion powder (like the taste of onions but hate the texture)
a sprinkling of rosemary
2 small appled (chopped up and peeled)
enough cheap apple juice to just cover meat.
Anyone ever tried using apple juice instead of water? Is it a disaster in the making?0 -

Sounds fab, let us know how it turns out, I have some pork loin steaks in the freezer that I have been pondering what to do with0 -
Ok, so I threw in half of the chicken pieces (just in case it doesn't turn out well!) I rubbed the chicken with a few different herbs, chopped up some onions and covered it all with about 1/2 pint of chicken stock - hope it turns out ok!0
