Yeah, i know what you mean. Giving my dads past im not going to expect much. But i have been chatting to one of my cousins i found today who is very happy to stay in contact with me. So at least something positive has come out of it. Fingers crossed it gets better from here on.never start frowning, because you never know who might be falling in love with your smile!0 -
That's fantastic news well done! As you say don't expect too much but it's amazing how families can grow. I now have new brothers and sisters nephews and neices and Great nephews and neices. Used to be such a small family !!Here dead we lie because we did not choose

I'm so glad you got there :j. Reading this thread gave me the courage (finally) to send a message to my two half-brothers on facebook. I found them on there last year n always chickened out when I was going to send a message LOL.
Anyway on Tuesday night I sent a message, I didn't even know if they knew I exsisted- thankfully they did!!! 10 mins later I was chatting to them online (my dad was crying cause he thought he'd never see me again- I last saw him when I was 4).
It's all a bit fast just now cause they want me to visit n phone- i've said i'd like to get to know them a bit online first, but with time we'll get there!
So I now have a pile of pictures of the 'other half' of the family and it feels wonderful to be in touch with them. So thanks for that little bit of courage you gave me.
Good luck with everyones searches for their family members. XXX
Every time life knocks me down, I just stay on the ground for a bit and look up at the sky for a while. Eventually I get up and have a cup of tea.0 -
Aww. that brought tears to my eyes. Good luck to you too, Michele. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window
