Eco Miser is right.... Having just opened 5 new Vantage accounts, I specifically asked the manager if there was an anniversary date and was told no. The T&C's he gave me says the monthly billing period runs from "the 2nd working day of a calendar month to the 1st working day of the next." Interest is also calculated on a daily basis over the same period.

I've deliberately avoided the month end and set up a circular rolling standing order for £1000 to move between all accounts and back to the beginning in the middle of the month leaving £7k in each for the whole month, making sure the first account has £8k in at the time of the start of the roll so that doesn't dip below £7k either. All the S/O's should happen at the same to time so the £8k shouldn't really be necessary... but I didnt want to risk it!!
If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.

I use £1000 that normally sits in a savings account to circulate through my 3 Vantage accounts , our 6 Reward accounts and our daughters Vantage + Reward accounts. Everything goes by SO as we travel a lot and do not always have internet access, so the SOs are set up to allow for weekends etc.

I don't necessarily keep £7k in each Vantage, but am managing to keep above the £5k so far.

I don't know how people are still managing to open more than 3 Vantage accounts, I have tried several times to get another one without success.

Hi - received a new VISA card for my new classic+Vantage account after ticking the box "no card required" I'm going to cut the card up. Should I tell the bank I don't want the card?

Can someone please explain the need to open a classic, then upgrade with vantage, when you can simply open a 'classic with vantage' account which is what I have just done.

I have just tried to open my second Classic with Vantage on line but according to the T&Cs at the beginning you cannot do this if you already have a current account so I assume this means I must go to the branch which is difficult for me.

It appears, therefore, that all those who have 3-5 a/cs have only done the first one on line. Also, there is no facility when looking at my account page to specify the date when the £1k should come out of the Classic with V
and go back to the Esaver. If I have missed it will someone tell me where it is? I am only interested in bank accounts that don't need to be checked all the time.

I hope I have not got it wrong again!

Colin, you can do either (if the website will let you)- it makes no difference.

Jake'sGran, you can also open a second (and third) over the phone. If you set up a standing order from your vantage ac to your e-saver you can specify the date funds are moved... but you would probably need to manually move them back.
Once you have a second vantage ac it would be safer/easier to set up two standing orders between your two vanatge acs moving funds in the opposite direction.

I applied online for my second and third accounts.
It sounds like you are applying before logging in.
After you have logged in, on the right hand side of the "Your Accounts" page is a box entitled "Apply Online" within that under the sub heading "Day-to-day" is the link you need to click "Current Account".
This takes you to a short form application where you just need to reconfirm your existing details.
It may not allow you to apply in which case it will tell you to apply in branch. This happens if has not been very long since your last application.

I guess there are 2 ways to do it; I didn't see the option "open a classic with vantage account" so I opened my 2nd current "classic" then, when it was activated, upgraged to Vantage.

When I try to open a 2nd Vantage account online it says -

"Sorry, we can't offer you a secondary current account"

    :(
