Lloyds TSB Vantage - Multiple accounts

I also got that message online. As a Gold account holder, the only option I had was to upgrade. I went into the branch though and was able to open 2 new classic vanage accounts.

Received this great letter from Lloyds after openning a 2nd classic account and upgrading to Vantage. One paragraphs reads :-

"Your account also has Vantage, so if you pay in £+00000 a month and keep your account in credit, you'll receive a higher rate of interest on balances up to £+000000000000."

I logged in and trawled through their site to eventually find something about the Vantage account then clicked on the open 'Classic with Vantage' and see that I must be able to confirm the following statement before I can open a Classic with Vantage account.
''I do not have a current account with Lloyds TSB.''

How do other posters get past that???????

You can also open them over the phone. Thats how I did my extra 2. I got the geographical phone number off saynoto0870 I believe...

If you mean the form on the page here:

You ignore it and press the Start Application button. In my experience they do not check.

Hi guys

Couple of quick questions re the Vantage Accounts.

I have £5k in my current plus (2.5%) account so thinking of opening the Vantage one to benefit from the 1.5% extra.

I pay in approx £2.2k and £1.7k out per month. As I need to maintain a balance of £5-£7k what happens if for a few days I have £7.2k in my account?

Do I still get the 4% interest upto £7k and 0% on the £200 for those days?

Yes, or 0.1% whatever the rate is for balances above £7k.

What is better if I have between 10-12k to invest right now. Is the Santander 5% of Llyods Vantage account?
