    ...and just to expand a bit further on LittleVoice's reply - a current account with the possibility of going overdrawn (when LTSB would be lending you money!). It might not be your intention to go overdrawn but LTSB don't know that. Try not to take it personally, pehaps check what the credit ref. agencies hold on you?
  • I tried opening a current account and got another letter saying I do have one and need to go to the branch. This is the second letter in two weeks saying the same thing.

    What shall i do?

    I successfully opened an account for myself and OH. However it won't let us open additional accounts online so we have an appointment on Thursday to open 2 more each.

    My question is regarding paying in £1000/month. I set up standing orders to pay £1000 from our Nationwide every month and another one to transfer it back to the Nationwide. However, if I am understanding this correctly, a SO could take 3-5 days to be transferred.

    I thought this would be easier than manually doing Faster Payments transfers as I wouldn't have to remember every month and it would be done if we were on holiday or anything.

    For those with several accounts, do you do the Faster Payments manually or do you do it by SO?

    I've got one of these so will tag a question here. The website states that the single limit for FP is £5000. Does anyone know if you can make multiple FP payments on the same day and if so what is the daily limit?

    If you have multiple Lloyds accounts there is no need for a standing order from an external account. Just transfer £1000 between your Lloyds accounts manually or by SO.
    I do mine manually £1000 from account 1 -> 2-> 3-> 1

    Look at my previous post 87 on page 5 of this thread regarding transaction limits.

    I have found that the best place to search for the answer to a Help question is to first enter your account.

    If that question is about payments or transaction limits then enter that section, ie. 'Payments and Transfers'. Once in the most pertinent section then the Help questions are much more pertinent to that specific section.

    I recently made two seperate £7K transfers from my LTSB account to a.n.other person's LTSB account and they went and were received instantly.

    I logged in at 3am and it has let me apply for an additional Classic account via internet banking.When I tried previously, a message appeared asking me to make an appointment at a branch.

    It also states that I can upgrade the account later.

    Well, following yet another try at more than 3 accounts, Ive just received a quite terse little email from Lloyds customer service telling me that Vantage accounts are limited to 3 per customer and there is NO WAY you can have more than that number.

    I can only think those posters with 6 or 7 accounts must have sneaked in before Lloyds limited the number to 3?
