By the way this Forum is quite open to the world at large, including staff members of Lloyds TSB.

You can test this out very easily with a Google search. Tip: As a search word use say,

    Lloyds Vantage Classic

eg, See just the third Google 'Search Result'

And, if you have contributed to this thread, also use your own MSE posting nickname.

eg, See the first two Google 'Search Results'

Are we shooting ourselves in the foot?

There are two other 'upgrade links' but both of these now advise that you already have an account, which is 'Classic with Vantage' and the only upgrade option available is to upgrade to 'Silver'
This suggests that you already have the account with Vantage. What is the name in the online banking?

Just opened a second vantage account. I said I wanted to open 2 but you can only do one in a 24 hour period and 3 is the max. Girl on the phone straight away said, ok so it's just to take advantage of the rate, no problem... So I don't think you really have to be sneaky about it.

When the maximum of three Vantage accounts per person has been exceeded, does your comment still apply currently.

There is obviously no need to be 'sneaky' if you have less than three current accounts with Vantage.

There is obviously a need to be 'sneaky' if you are breaking the T&Cs and going on to open four or more.

Ok so you already have a Vantage account which is why it isnt letting you upgrade to one.

I went through the same process using one of my existing Vantage accounts and got to the same screen so if you want a Classic with Vantage then you already have it so no need to upgrade.

Side question but what is the max interest you can earn in a month?

I checked and got £18.80, i thought the max would be £18.32 for the full £7,000 @3.14% net? Is my calculation wrong?

Interest is added on the first working day of the month which could be as late as the 4th.

If the 1st of the month is Good Friday the first banking day of the month would be the following Tuesday ie: 5th

...come to that if Christmas Day were ever to fall on the 1st of the month which was a Friday the Boxing Day bank holiday would be carried over to the following Monday then the first banking day would be...
